You can use gmrs. Most do not have a ham Lic You can in a emergency use a ham if your are not licensed though
Registration will close this Sunday the 18th There are still some spots open and if you want a particular run you can email me or text me and I can see what I can do@Firemedic831 When exactly does registration close (and which runs have spots left)?
I just finished tubbing to clear 40s and am in the middle of installing the parking brake and limit straps, I'll hopefully be able to do a shake down run this coming weekend, then onto installing the rear bumper, sliders, and skids....then lots of bare metal needs painting. I'm hoping to get it all done in-time so I've waited to register until the last minute.
Not mentioned in the requirements... I'm all set with HAM and GMRS in any case... I just want to be properly prepared. You can use gmrs. Most do not have a ham Lic You can in a emergency use a ham if your are not licensed though
Still Birfs. Allowed me to stuff my RCVs back in with everything elsestill birfs or did you go 60 outers?
GMRS works great for me on the trail as I'm coming in without a run with my wife following. And I like GMRS in camp because of my hand helds. Having both like you do is perfect!
I'm a little confused, can GMRS be used on ALL runs? Or for the Wagon Run is 2m HAM (+license) mandatory? You can use gmrs. Most do not have a ham Lic You can in a emergency use a ham if your are not licensed though
All runs can use GMRS. Your trail leads will have ham capability. We use Ham to reach out beyond the rubicon trail . Ie to call in Medical . But for the runs GMRS is fine .I'm a little confused, can GMRS be used on ALL runs? Or for the Wagon Run is 2m HAM (+license) mandatory?
I’m here, who was looking for me..I actually don't even know Ray's handle on here...
All of this will be gone over with you by your trail lead . You will also receive ham radio frequencies in your bag . Each run will have a designated GMRS channel so you are not walking over other runs .Speaking of Ham and gmrs is there a band plan or will channels/frequencies be dealt with on-site?
Could you PM me your email or phone? ThanksRegistration will close this Sunday the 18th There are still some spots open and if you want a particular run you can email me or text me and I can see what I can do
