I love the bottle opener but I don't want the officer that pulls me over thinking I'm drunk automatically when he walks past my bottle opener...

thats why its on the drivers side. only a stupid officers would approach the drivers side, placing him/herself between the vehicle and the traffic, as well as placing the driver so close to themselves.... but seriously no officers would think that, and i bet most would not notice it.

my philosophy is when you have nothing to hide you have nothing to worry about .... plus if i was to open a bottle that i got from my cooler in the trunk id have to walk around the door to open it if it were on the passengers side

You are incorrect on that front, my friend. There are plenty of situations where a drivers' side approach is perfectly okay, and that's also why you may see cruisers stopped at an angle behind the detained vehicle (to deflect same-lane traffic in the event of a collision).

I preferred one officer on each side of the car, because nobody expects the second one to be watching. ;)

I would never approach from the drivers side unless forced to by uncontrollable circumstances... Just to many dangers for me personally to feel comfortable, alone anyhow, with a second officer that's a whole different story.

It also depends what you're doing - hunting DUIs at 2am is different than hammering speeders on the freeway. IMHO it's easier to notice DUI indicators when you're closer to the driver (odors can be more apparent, eyes, etc) instead of looking across the interior of a (dark if you're on graveyards) vehicle.

If you run day shift we have nothing in common. :D

:p

It's been 4 years this month since I was on the job - I still miss it sometimes.

Do you have the new diff in yet?

Not yet ... I had to go out of town this weekend for a wedding. ..
I'm still debating the locker situation. ..
Get the lockers , don't get the lockers, only in the front , only in the back, etc ...
It's one those things that goes from an easier and cheaper fix than you thought but there's always that we'll while your in there you might as well do "this and that" ... and now it cost twice what you thought but it's better now than later
So I don't know ... but I'm def pulling the trigger this week ... then I have to send off both chunks ... and I'll get them back in 2 weeks

If your only doing one, I'd suggest doing the rear. Mainly if there is ever an issues its a lot easier to R&R than the front. And it will be more used, allowing the front the freedom for steering duties while not losing the positive traction available.

Lol true but others would debate a front locker will help pull you over an obstacle

And a rear will help you push over it, or pull you back out of a bad spot.... potato patoto ....

And then never turn them on because ATRAC does enough :p

Once again, the gentleman makes the best of a tough situation.

I would do the front locker first as it is the easiest of the two to break.

alright guys ... well I took the dive and placed my order with Pandora Adventures
-4.10 Nitro Gears (front and rear)
-ARB air lockers (front and rear)
-ARB dual compressor
(and order has a 5 year warranty as well...which is hard to beat)

I couldn't decide on the lockers so my gut just said if your gonna do it just do it all the way now instead of playing catch up later and costing yourself more money ... so the lockers are there when i need them now

same with the compressor i could have gotten a nice ARB single compressor that was enough to trigger the lockers but the on board air has so many uses that I am really a geek for ..(airing up tires, lockers, air tools, airing up the rear air springs, etc...) .... I could have gotten the single now and saved 300 dollars or so ... then upgraded later but then i have to deal with the hassle of selling it, low ballers, and not getting a return from it bc its used...
I will hold off on an air supply tank for now though... that can be added later with out going backwards

now all there is to do is pull the chunks out and ship them to East Coat Gears
:pompous:

Awesomeness. I would and did do the same thing. I was gonna suggest this, but its easy for someone else to tell you what to do with your money...
