well i think this is one of those hobby/lifestyles you shouldn't cut corners bc it is expensive but its even more expensive paying twice ... if I break something I'm gonna do my best to upgrade when i do replace ...

plus lets get real i don't have the money in cash to pay for all this at once ... I had to borrow some scratch and pay it back a lil at a time or until i sell a few things ....
since I'm financing might as well go all in right?... its not like its real money!!! am i right ?am i right!? HAHAhahaaaa LOL:lol: :lol:...

Nice choice...I like the way you roll.

I do in my 4runner, ARBs f&r along with 488gears. I'm really considering doing a Tacoma or 4runner elocker swap/retrofit with either 410 or 430 gears and then just regear the front to match....

I had considered this as well. .. someone offered to sell me an elocker off of an FJ

Words to live by right there kids ...
That's why iv been married twice and I'm only 30 lol ... you live and learn
Along with that, if you don't have the time to do it right the first time, how are you ever gonna have the time to do it a second time...

ok got an electrical question .... i wanna hook my rear bumper lights up ... and I wanna tap into the factory reverse lights with a quick splice connector but idk which wire to tap into ... I can figure it out by process of elimination but i'd like to get it right the first time ... hope this makes sense
I can build anything with metal but don't ask me to wire do your electrical work ... ha ha:confused:

Get a test light or volt meter and put the truck in reverse with no other lights on(dont do this with the truck running) and remove one the back door interior cover and probe the wires till you find the hot one. Mark that wire and repeat the probe with the truck in park to make sure that that wire is no longer hot. Then trace that wire through the door to the body and find a suitable location to tap that wire at.

If I recall...there is also a reverse light (switched 12v) that's part of the 7-pin trailer connector (drivers side rear, next to where the spare tire used to reside).

Might be easier to tap into that, use it to activate a relay...and run the lights off a direct tap from the battery (through the relay, of course).

That's what I would do...

I tapped into mine directly from the rear door panel when I lengthened my camera harness.

Oh and thanks for buying new gears, cause now I get that full axle Kevin offered you with an e-locker on it to swap onto mine!!

yeah i was about to text you about checking into that .... your welcome

i opened rear door panel on my break and traced the two wires that go to the reverse lights on the door ... so i think i can figure it out from there now

You're gonna love that compressor. Let me know if you want any measurements off mine or tips on mounting it. I wish I had made back-plans and written everything down.
