I recently purchased this 2002 Tacoma DCSB TRD with limited trim and a factory supercharger. The PO did quite a bit of work on it and I have done a bit more so it is in good shape currently. Here are the details:

The truck had over 300k miles on it when the engine developed a "knock". At this time the 300k engine was swapped with an engine out of a wrecked truck (~130K miles). Just beginning search for reliable car for my son. He flipped his 2001 double cab Tacoma 4x4 yesterday and thankfully he is ok. We only had liability on his vehicle and have just installed OME lift from Cruiseroutfitters. We also had just spent within last 2 months $600 on snow tires. I thinking of buying solid early model Tacoma with good 6 cylinder engine and removing what we have installed and using as parts vehicle. Let me know if you have any leads please.

Son's wrecked his 2001 Tacoma 2 days ago. We just installed last month a 2.5 inch Lift from Cruiser outfitters. Has ARB front bumper now with small wrinkle. . Snow tires with less then 1000 miles.. I'm pretty sure around 190k miles. Has new Alternator 3 weeks ago. Has 6 cylinder. engine. Tool box has a couple dings. I feel that mechanically axles and auto/tranny are in great shape. Engine I will inspect when I have time.
Car was flipped and landed on roof so most of body glass except rear glass is broken. Interior in decent shape. I have not tried starting the vehicle since we brought home. Looking at selling my Tacoma. It is a great truck and runs like a champ. It does full power brake burn outs with the rear locker on no problem. It runs very strong! It has been all solid axle swapped with a Toyota front axle. It rides really good and smooth unlike some swapped rigs. 70mph down the road straight and true. This is an AWESOME truck. It's a 3.4 5 speed dual cased solid axle swapped 4x4 Toyota Tacoma. It will get you anywhere you want. New 37" Yokohama tires (3000 miles), rebuilt front Dana 44 axle(new brakes, oil seals, wheel bearings, ball joints, new hubs) rebuilt rear tacoma 8" elocker (brand new 4.88 elocker diff from ECGS, new wheel bearings, axle seals, drum brakes, slave cylinders), dual transfer cases with 4.7 in the rear put in by Yotamasters around 10k miles ago with all new drive shafts, header and flowmaster exhaust, new 6" allpro rear leafs, all pro leafs up front, trail gear front/rear bumper, 12k winch, snorkel, recaro bucket seats.
Truck has ~321k on odometer, but previous owner swapped in a different engine and transmission...
This 2000 Tacoma runs great. It has a smack in the hood and dents and dings but overall is a solid runner.
V6, auto, AC buy Non-functional, 2"+ lift, old Cooper MT tires on FJ wheels, driver's seat is thread bare, arm pad on DS is shot, cowboy hat holder has three bolts through roof but no leaks, missing one tailgate cable, noticed crack in air intake hose, rear axle seals seeping, recommend an OEM radiator and OEM door handle.
