Also, my 72 FJ40: 2F engine, with newer 76 head and modified factory carb (runs GREAT) with a FJ60 dizzy and all smog junk removed. Completely rewired with EZ wire kit. H41 4 speed out of a Aussie rig, reversed shift pattern, has a deeper first gear than the US spec. Mated up to a 3 speed t-case with a new clutch. Factory e-brake works as well (kind of rare..:lol:) Front axle is FJ40, balls cut and turned for proper steering geometry for SOA, has Marlin 6 bolt steering arms, FJ80 TRE's, DOM links (all Marlin steering), 6 shooter knuckles, 4.56 gears, ARB, Bobby long 30 spline axles/hub gears and wheel spacers. Gone to the insurance boneyard.... Guys, about 2 weeks ago, I was trying to buy a cruiser. I bought one 10 days ago. This saturday, I was hit in it. Insurance has called it a total cosmetic loss. Here is the story: Hit by 1997 Jetta, driver's front qtr panel, behind the wheel. Tore flare, crunched fender, and wheel well lining. Drive door is fine, going back on the truck is fine. Pushed into parked car on the right side, scratched pass fender, and ripped flare. Pass door back is fine. Hood, lights, grill, and bumper are fine. The truck does not drive straight. For Sale: 1994 FZJ80 with ARB Front Bumper. This has the cloth interior which is in great shape. It has like new 285 75 firestone destinations with 5k miles on them. The cruiser runs and drives great it was our everyday driver until we bought a new car a few months ago. The car needs one oxygen sensor and may need a new starter down the road it occasionally makes a noise when starting. The truck has 305k miles but the engine was rebuilt by the toyota dealer at approx 200k. It has a new optima blue battery. All power windows and locks work properly. For Sale 1995 FZJ80 Western Carolina $4500 OBO

Up for sale is my 1995 FZJ-80. It is Blue (nightshadow pearl) with 218k on the odometer, but only about 130k on the engine. I replaced the motor about a year ago, and the build was documented here on mud if you wish to look into that. It has an OME 2 1/2" lift with Slee poly spacers, >50% tread BFG 285's. It has had the transmission rebuilt by a chain, and the aftermarket torque converter isn't as balanced as i'd like for it to be, so it has a slight vibration at 1k rpm's, it is not present below 1k or above, but just thought i'd give a heads up. I have a 1996 FZJ80 that was involved in a wreck while I was deployed. The landcruiser is still driveable, it was driven for about a month after the accident. It has 179k miles, recent tires with about 14k on them. The spare tire is new never used. All tires are on the toyota rims. It still runs good. I have a stack of receipts for the work that was done on it since it was new. The a/c works, 4wd works. It does not have the front lockers! I just dont have the money to fix it. Wanted Looking for a 95-97 Land Cruiser or LX450

I live in Charlotte. I prefer a 97 but I'm open to both the 95 and 96 if it's a great vehicle. I want to stay under 150 K miles. For colors, I'm pretty flexible but I don't like white or maroon/red. I'm not too concerned about lockers. I can add air lockers later if necessary. I prefer a sunbelt vehicle; I'm planning to keep this vehicle for a really long time so I don't want anything with rust. I'm hoping to spend $8-10 K, but anything less than that would be great.

No affiliation at all. I came across this in my weekly fzj80 search. As much as I would LOVE to buy this truck and I actually think its worth the price (just under $18K) I am posting it up here so someone else buys it! I have talked to the guy and there are several people wanting to buy it so I doubt it will last long even at its high price. We all know it would go for more on e-bay, which is why I almost bought it. It is a one of a kind for sure and needs to go to a good home so I thought I would post the link here. 1994 Landcruiser 117,xxx Locked green with grey leather interior not running and does have the bus tranny. Engine cranks but has no spark just replaced distributor the coil and ignitor with units out of a running 94 Landcruiser that was parted out. Could be aftermarket alarm or ? Wanted 96/97 FJ80 or LX450 (located in NV)

I just sold my 97 LR Discovery in hope of building up a LC or LX. I do a lot of desert trips when I'm out hunting and fishing, so it needs to be a sound truck. I plan on doing some PM work on it, but no mechanical problems that i'm going to have to dump money into. I would like to find a nice LC, but since the LX is one in the same, i'm fine with either or. Just as long as its a nice truck! As far as miles go, the lower the better! The Rover was a truck that I built up with the intention of keeping forever, but I lost the love for it and now i'm looking for a truck that I can keep for many many years. Hey all, After much discussion and finally taking the :princess: around to test drive some 80's, I'm in the market for one!! I had found a Black LX450 in Tacoma with factory lockers that I thought was the one but found a few gremlins that I wasn't too joyed about paying for, so after some heart wrenching reality I decided not to pull the trigger on it.
