I am trying to guage interest in my rig as I am trying to determine whether or not to sell this rig whole or part it out. The truck has significant rust on both the body and the frame. I bought the truck from the original owner about 3 years ago. In that time I have done the following. Replaced the transmission with a used tranny i found here on Ih8mud. This tranny has slipped between 2nd and third gears ever since i put it in, but it has not gotten any worse over these 3 years. It slips for a second and then catches right away. I bought my 60 in October and I love it. I am buying a house and need to sell one of my cars for a down payment, I have my M Roadster listed aswell and which ever sells first I will keep the other. I daily drove the cruiser for two months and put 2k miles on it and it runs great, everything works including AC. The 4x4 works great, I took it camping last weekend and used it. It has dents and scratches but NO RUST. 1987 FJ60 with 245k miles New factory carb done last month now with only 500 miles on it. For Sale: 1989 Toyota LandCruiser, Very clean, Florida Truck, virtually no rust on truck! Auto, 4wd, power locks/windows/6 disc CD changer, a/c blows cold, 297,000 miles. Tear in driver seat, other then that interior is pretty clean, minor cracks in the dash pad. This truck has been a daily driver for the past year, I have recently purchased a new pickup and do not need it anymore. Like the title says- 1985 FJ60. 2f with a weber and header, de-smogged, otherwise stock motor. Fairey overdrive tranfercase- works great. If you aren't familiar it's a 27% overdrive that is integral to the Toyota t-case. New within the last year: Entire exhaust system All hoses and belts T-stat and water pump Radiator boiled out Head off and milled flat, valves lapped, pressure and vacuum tested. I have an all original fj60 for sale with all the documents from 1983 when it was baught from the dealer including the window sticker. One small rust spot on the gutter above the right rear window (I have the piece to weld in) 273k and some change on her and runs strong just got back from a trip in the mountains. It needs a cat back system and tires though there not bad just not new. Has new sony cd,mp3,and all that stuff with four polk speakers.
