Have an 83 Diesel Cruiser.
Here's the good the bad and the sticky on this vehicle:
First the good:
Low kms on engine: 243,000
Regularly well maintained.
Recently have put in two new batteries, a rad, glow plugs, belts (1300.00 work in 6 months since I bought it).
4 BF Goodrich All Terrain Baja tires with only 8000 kms on them.
Equipped to Run on Veggie oil with a second tank system. All components have been solid...I've had no problems using this system. Installed the cost was $2700.00.
The majority of the vehicle's body is in super nice shape.
The bad:
Some rust in the rear wheel wells which has caused a couple of frisbee like holes in the floor. I've patched them as best that I could. Will try and post some photos.
The frame is basically solid, but will require some work in 3 years time I am told. The inner part (as opposed to the outer tubing which actually holds the vehicle together) is starting to flake and is thin in the back.
I'm asking $6000 OBO which I believe is reasonable, because with the VO system, the value of the engine, tires and misc. parts you could easily part it out for this amount.
I can deliver to anywhere in the Pacific Northwest in early March.
