Sold Hello, it has come time for me to part with my beautifully restored FJ40. I purchased it back in 2015 where it was originally restored by Landcruiser Specialties in Clackamas Oregon. They did a great job but I am very OCD and have since redone most of that work again. Everything was replaced by OEM Toyota when available including ALL stainless hardware. Landcruiser specialties went through the drivetrain and engine but not sure to what extent as it only had about 120k on them all. engine will have a little smoke at idle when warmed up but runs good and shifts fine. There was a new clutch assembly installed as well. Most of the restoration happened around 2016 see list.

1975 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 for sale. This is a project rig, and not currently running. I’m not sure when it ran last. It’s got a later model 2F with the 4-speed transmission. The Cruiser is complete, but the body is very rusty.

Full frame off restoration completed by Scott Gesick at www.RestoredFJ40.com out of Lincoln City, Oregon. Features include: Rebuilt 2F engine by Portland Engines, four speed manual transmission, Toyota power-steering, Toyota PTO winch (rare), original Toyota factory Freeborn Red color, front disc brakes, and additional front lighting. I drove this from Seattle, WA to Dayton, OH when I relocated last year without issue. Will roll down the highway at 70+ MPH. It's been a while since I've been on Mud but I bought this FJ from a seller in NM back in 2017. I drove it for a while and then realized I had two blown cylinders. Over the course of the next few years, we swapped the engine with a BJ40 diesel, installed a turbo and a 5 speed transmission. Brakes were tightened up and it runs great now. Trouble is that I need the garage space as my oldest is getting closer to driving, etc. I'd be happy to discuss the swap and FJ. It's a great vehicle, just no time to drive it.
This is a non running 1979 that needs work, needs waterpump and possible electrical work done, rear lights need to be hooked up , body is not original and work has been done , but they did a good job at lest with the rear sides. Rep,aced the original carb with Australian carb but still have original carb and all the pollution equipment. Have not driven it just to move it a few feet , this was before I replaced the carb, and removed the water pumpI can take more pictures if you want . Definitely a project , that I will finish if it doesn’t sell beforehand

Complete 1982 FJ40, 653 Olive, build date December 1981, 168,000mi. "refreshed" by me.. most of it 10 years ago. included repairing/replacing lower door sills, rear sill, rear fenders... 10 years strong and those areas still look awesome. Was not a frame-off, was not a restoration. I wanted a solid 30 footer that I could actually still drive, take to events, wheel a little, look good in parades and on Instagram, and that's exactly what this truck is. 1976 FJ-40 in mostly original condition as far as drivetrain goes, but with some improved suspension, rust abatement and other changes.
There is a full cage installed by Proffitt's some years ago, by Mr. Proffitt himself. The interior has been left mostly stock, with the exception of Celica front seats and a 2nd gen Montero fold and stow rear seat. The original troop carrier style rear seats as well as the original front seats come w the Cruiser.
Suspension wise, it is on 3" spring lift from Old Man Emu, but is running Bilstein shocks. Shackle reversal up front and longer shackles in the rear as well. Sitting on some older BFGs that could use a balance, but it hasn't prevented me from DDing it. The spare is mismatched, but all wheels...
Preferably LS swap three link front and triangulated rear, atlas t case, you get the idea. DM me with what you got 🤙

Selling my 1970 FJ 40 Land cruiser, straight 6 - 1F engine was professionally rebuilt last year by Performance Associates in CDA, complete rebuild with 3 speed tranny. Have hardtop, doors, and rear panels. Installed new weather strip and hardware this year, new fuel pump when engine went back in with new clutch.. I have medical bill I need to pay off and if I had more time I'd keep going.. If you'd like more pictures or have questions please let me know.

Mostly complete & original 1970. I bought it about a year ago. My brother saw it and wanted. Got it running with a little carb work. New brakes - cylinders, shoes, some hard line replacement, new tires. Ran good. He took it home and it sat for a few months. Now it will not start but does turn over. Please see videos. The rear ledge is made up of a 2x4 and bondo. However the rest of the floor and frame is solid. Frame and title number match. 6500.00

Located near Sugar Land, TX 1972 (March 1972) Smurf Blue FJ40 3 speed. $6500 OBO. Owned for 20 years and driven less than 2 years ago. Never had the time to restore myself so it is time for someone new. Currently not running as the old fuel tank had a leak so bring a trailer. Have new tank but not installed. Floorboards will need replacing. Many parts come with: Hardtop doors and rear window, new windshield wiper motor, quarter panel patch and outer rocker panel from Cruiser Corps, multiple new knobs and parts. 88K on broken odometer. It has only been in Virginia for about 6 years. It was in Nevada before. Any rust that was present was taken care of recently. This has been a running project that is 95% complete. It needs to be cleaned and have a few small things done. All parts come with it. The engine runs flawlessly. 2F/4spd w/Holley 350 carb, will come with a sniper and all parts. Rebuilt transmission and transfer case, new clutch and assc. parts, new flywheel, rebuilt and balanced driveshafts, rebuilt park brake, rear shoes and hardware, front pads and rotors, new shackles, Ironman 2-1/2” lift and foam cell shocks...
1979 FJ40 with 68000miles, barn kept since I've owned it1996. 2F engine, new water pump and hoses, 4 speed, 2H, 4H, 4L transfer case, Ramsey winch mounted on 4" Oilfield pipe bumper bolted to frame, ambulance rear doors, spare tire /rack, rear jump seats, 4 stock steel rims/tires, rear wheel wells rebuilt with quarter inch diamond deck steel. Been used as woods trail crawler, whitetail hauler and take me home on icy county roads, mule for the past umpteen years. Father Time has impacted both me and LC, She needs a new home. Would make a great rebuild project in the right hands or parted out for fully functional engine, transmission, drive train and suspension.
1970 Soft top model. Has bows, but no top. Bought 20+ years ago as a running vehicle. Drove it. I started going through it and stopped. 327 Chevy, 3sp floor shift trans, manual everything. Needs lots of work, not running now. Two sets of front bench seats, underseat gas tank and plumbing, aussie locker, confer auxiliary tank, Fairey Overdrive unit (not installed), Full soft doors and new soft 1/2 doors, spare tires carriers, other parts, including the BEZEL.
Non-op registration, 20 year old tires,, partially frozen front left brake (means bring a trailer). Needs lots of work. More pictures upon request.

Selling my Cruiser...78 has aluminum tub and fenders and rear lower door...The tub has Linux lining inside and under..The fenders are lined under and the hatch on the inside..
The engine is very strong and has Downey throttle body injection and ignition...Tuned headers also..Body lift is 2x3"...
The doors have rusted bottoms with an aluminum cover over the rust area...Lower door sections are available online..
The frame is good except for two small holes behind the rear wheels..both sides..An easy fix for a shop..or..rear frame replacements are available too...
The top is good and the side panels might need a little work...The rear window inner frame has a lot of rust but also can be restored..
Asking 15k for it...This is my fourth...
In terms of priority, first choice is a Jan 1972 Spring Green 40. Maybe Blue
Then I’d cast a wider net to early 40s in those colors
If it has original paint and disc conversion. Maybe 4 sp and power brakes - all the better!
Long shot, but worth a try!
