Sold Hello, it has come time for me to part with my beautifully restored FJ40. I purchased it back in 2015 where it was originally restored by Landcruiser Specialties in Clackamas Oregon. They did a great job but I am very OCD and have since redone most of that work again. Everything was replaced by OEM Toyota when available including ALL stainless hardware. Landcruiser specialties went through the drivetrain and engine but not sure to what extent as it only had about 120k on them all. engine will have a little smoke at idle when warmed up but runs good and shifts fine. There was a new clutch assembly installed as well. Most of the restoration happened around 2016 see list.
-New paint inside and out
- BF Goodrich mud tire 30x9.5
- OME full suspension kit with 2” lift
- all new seals ,lights, emblems
- brakes
-seats recovered, rears were just redone with new pads and covers. I have new pads and covers for the fronts but not installed.
- Full family cage from Metal Tech
- Front bumper from 4Plus
-Rear tire carrier from 4Plus ( have original as well)
- side steps/sliders from 4Plus ( have originals also)
- custom made rear boxes go under the jump seats ( now you can use the long jump seats and have a full cage)
-The underside is very clean as well.
-tons of receipts
this list is just some of the highlights.
This FJ is a very nice example and gets compliments everywhere I go but this is not a full frame off restoration.
I built this for myself and expected to keep it forever but i have only put maybe 500 miles on it in the last 10 years and time to pass it on ( as of this week😆) $24,500
Texting or calling would be best as i do not get on this sight much. Thank you, Jerome

That’s a really well-done ’72. You can see the attention to detail in the way the truck was gone through — especially the LandCruiser Specialties work and the follow-on refinements you did yourself.

Someone’s going to get a great FJ40 here.

Thank you, This 40 truly is a beautiful rig. I tried to keep the keep the stock appearance along with doing some tasteful mods. This is not a “Flip” build. I built it for myself to keep forever but things change. I will definitely miss her. I think it is very competitively priced especially with all the work and labor that has been put into this FJ40. Yes Landcruiser Specialties does excellent , quality work as well.
