I just spotted this on a Richie Brothers/Iron Planet auction.

Looks cool, and since it is listed with an heavy equipment auction it may be a deal.

Auction ends October 15, 2025, Currently bid to $6250.
Take a look a the auction pictures, somebody put a ton of money in this thing.

I'm not positive about the drivetrain, coil suspension, Toyota engine, looks like an 80 to me.

Looks like FJ40 frame with Coils in front and chopped for winch bumper. Axles do not appear to be Toy......as 5 lug? Agree someone dumped a bunch of $$ in this. But not sure what driveline is really in it. Toy motor, trans and xfer case. but axles? Could be a nice deal for someone that is close and can look at it at the auction.

IMO not a 80 frame, maybe 105 stuff, 1FZ, front axle and suspension is the same if not 80 stuff but with the 5 lug hubs as mentioned. Rear axle does look to be a Dana.
Pictures were taken carefully as to not show how the suspension was mounted ;) Motor runs ruff with a knock of some kind 🤷‍♂️
There's more hackery but I will stop there

Proceed with CAUTION

A lot about this screams Central American build, except for the Dakota Digital dash. Looks like prime scam material to me, but then I'm a pessimist by nature.

That 40 is extremely Central American. It’s most likely on an FZJ70 frame, much like this one on BAT.

Dana rear axle, 5 lug, 1FZ with a H150? trans. The wheelbase would also mostly line up.

The Venezuelan sold trucks used a Dana to reach government standards regarding trucks built in Venezuela if my understanding is correct.

@Exiled can probably shed more light on the Dana subject.

This rig is just all over the place !
I revisited the picture and agree the Axles look like 70 series.
The 5 lug were late model stuff and most SA 70s are carbureted.
This 1FZ in this rig is fuel injected and has a distributor.
In my research when they went to 5 lugs the 1FZ skipped a generation and went to the coil pack version and an updated fuel injection the 1FZ has neither.
Also suspension components, seem to be cobbled together and welded on.

I have seen stuff like this in the middle East market.
I can’t decide if it’s Middle Eastern or South American.
The bidding has already passed what I think would be a safe price to pay for this rig.
