I am selling this for a good friend. I can answer most any questions as I’ve done 90% of the work.
It has only been in Virginia for about 6 years. It was in Nevada before. Any rust that was present was taken care of recently. This has been a running project that is 95% complete. It needs to be cleaned and have a few small things done. All parts come with it. The engine runs flawlessly. 2F/4spd w/Holley 350 carb, will come with a sniper and all parts. Rebuilt transmission and transfer case, new clutch and assc. parts, new flywheel, rebuilt and balanced driveshafts, rebuilt park brake, rear shoes and hardware, front pads and rotors, new shackles, Ironman 2-1/2” lift and foam cell shocks, knuckles rebuilt w/koyo bearings. Stainless brake lines, new fuel take, fuel lines, new windshield, 4Plus front bumper, radiator rebuilt, hoses, HEI distributor, new fuel pump, water pump, thermostat, header, all gauges work with the exception of the oil pressure gauge. Custom 15x10 wheels with full tread 33x12.50 Toyo AT’s. This is a turn key FJ40 that needs a few small things (that are included) $25,000

I can send a cold start video to anyone’s email or phone.

I can’t understand why anyone would put on those J.C. Whitney side mirrors! drilling them into the doors ugh 🥺
Yeah….unfortunately they were there when he bought the truck. Probably the grumpy old man that owned it previously.

Those mirrors were considered an upgrade back in the day. We have a different opinion nowdays, looking at these rigs as classics is much different than looking at them as a tool.
This truck was very original when my friend bought it. I truly do believe that it was used as a tool. The previous owner did what he could to make it usable to him.

Not questioning the authenticity of this nice rig. This a question for my education. I thought '76 and up had vent windows in the sides of the cap. This '80 unit does not have vent windows. Educate me please. TIA
