Selling my FJ40. I hate to have to let it go, but I'm moving out to Chicago and can't take it with me. I'm asking $9800 for it but I'm willing to negotiate some on that.
It has its original F engine and 3spd on the floor. 4WD works like a champ and has Selectro hubs. Before I got it, it was used on a farm here in central Florida for past 30 years.

Since then I've installed a replacement OEM radiator, Painless 12 circuit fuse block, replacement OEM turn signal switch, CCOT mirrors, and a replacement OEM shifter knob(always essential haha).

1973 FJ-40 originally from the west coast, it spent a lot of it life in northern California and I bought it from a Mud member in Oregon. The truck has a 2F from a later model 40 that I converted to propane about two years ago. The transmission is a crazy reverse shift pattern Toyota transmission with a really low first gear (a little over 6:1). Transmission mated to an Orion built by Georg at Valley Hybrids, final crawl ratio is approx 110:1. I have owned the truck for about four years and the reason I am selling is I just don't use it as much as I should and I hate to see it sit.
The truck has the following modifications:
Spring over - stock leafs flipped up front and FJ-55 springs in the rear. WB is right at 103".

Hi everybody. I live in Charlotte,NC. I'm currently looking for an FJ40 for my first car. Ever since I saw my first one, I've been obsessed with getting one. I know they are alot older than other cars so I can expect more problems out of it, but I'm ready for it. My parents have said my maximum price cap is 9,000. I'm trying to find one that has the ambulance doors and one that isn't a complete rust bucket. I figured that all of ya'll experienced guys can help me out a little and give me some much needed help and advice on finding one, because I'm not having much luck. 1973 Toyota Land Cruiser. Great running, F 155 inline six, 3 speed manual on the floor and Toyota transfer case. Starts right up every time and runs great. The truck isn't the prettiest girl at the dance, there is rust on the body. The frame has some rust, but nothing major. Comes with a bill of sale and no title. Recent work includes new brake lines, rebuilt hubs, a rebuilt starter,rebuilt master cyclinder, gas tank boil, radiator flowed, new electric fuel pump and a new battery. Currently, only the fuel pump, ignition and starter are wired. The truck has a 35" tires on 15 x 10 aluminum rims.

I purchased Diego in the hills of San Diego a little more than 4 years ago. It was an amazing journey of discovery along the way. I wanted to do a restoration close to OEM as possible. I find it rewarding to drive a truck as it was meant to be driven.
The entire body and parts were dismantled and hand sanded, painted and installed. Every piece of the original truck was restored if it was able to. The remaining parts were purchased as new Toyota parts and there are only a handful of aftermarket parts.

BODY & FRAME
This truck underwent a complete teardown and cosmetic rebuild about 8 years ago. The frame and axles were sandblasted, all rust from the body panels that aren't aluminum were sandblasted as well. I had plans of a V8 conversion at that time and welded plates to each side of the frame ahead of the crossmember for the rear mount. But I later changed my mind on that. The frame was sprayed inside and out after sandblasting and a skim coat of filler (just on the outside) with Eastwood rust encapsulator. Then it got a few coats of chassis black.
