Seems like a nice rig. I would post more pics, like under the hood and some of the frame. Price could be a little high given the economy but I don't think its way off. You could always try ebay.

seems to be more faded paint. does not seem to be any rust though. the hardtop does have some bondo in that spot has been there since i got it but it is really solid im going to sand it down this week and paint it.
 
has it been in cincy its entire life? do you have some pics of the frame...Price is high for me, but maybe I'll come look at it.

i bought it in kentucky. ill shoot some pics of the frame. i doubt that it has spent much of its life in the mudwest .

yes i got it and my dog became ill. after 3000 worth of test (mri/spinal tap) we found that he had a brain tumor and had to put him to sleep. kinda need the cash now as this was an extra vehicle. fj runs perfect and is very solid.
 
for sale

this is back up for sale due to a buyer not coming up with the rest of the cash. i will take 5800 or a clean 1999-2002 4runner or tacoma 4x4.

folks, this truck is decieving. i have looked at it and have let the owner know about the issues. its full of bondo and is cracking all over. there are rust holes in the driver rear corner. don't really know why there arent close pics. i wasted a trip to see it and was very dissapointed. one pic of the rocker panel up close and i would have never made the trip to look at it. sorry for the slam, just hate to see other cruiserheads waste time thinking they are looking at a really clean truck when its not.

thanks buddy, you obviously did not let me know about any issues to my face or the description would have been fixed sooner. I did not know that there was bondo all over the truck as I just got into older vehicles(lesson learned) but price was readjusted and fj40 have been sold. the body according to you was rough but it was a mechanically sound vehicle.. thanks for you input next time let someone know to there face instead of posting on a board. It was clear that i didnt realize the extent of the damage. As low as the price was I m sure people realized they were not getting a restored quality fj40

Just some 2 cents. I am glad you sold it. I was close to contacting you. I didnt think you were deceptive in your description at all. I can clearly see some issues by those photos. But for the price you asked, for a running driving cruiser, in decent shape that obviously needed work, not bad. i dont know where some people are finding these sweetheart deals, but I sure havent seen any. Every one I have seen in that price range was in far worse condition. Rust free, driving condition, we are talking at least 8, from what I have seen.
