1974 FJ 40 Landcruiser-titled in Va and streetable
AMC 360/727/Dana 300-twin stick/stock gear set
Axles:
Front-Wagoneer Dana 44 pass drop-lockrite-4.30 gears/high steer w/ Hydro assist from PSC, chromoly inners and outers
Rear- Dana 44 from Honda Passport w 4.30 gears/lockrite, disc brakes, stock shfts
rims- 15 in. DYI beadlocks. Hold air great. No leak down
Super Swamper 38.5 x 15 Boggers w 90% tread left
Wheelbase has been stretched to roughly 105 w/ Skyjacker Wagoneer springs.
Truck has all tops: custom bikini, Hard and soft top w hard and soft doors
custom full cage
Painless wiring kit
runs strong.

no one interested? this truck does great on the trail. i trail ride with guys who run one ton running gear and this truck hangs in with no troubles. very good trail ride.

I'm thinking its all the Jeep parts. I know if I had this kind of money to spend on a wheeler I would be looking for one with Cruiser axles on tons.

;p to explain build to all you true toyota guys who look down on anything but toyota parts. when i started this build long ago i was looking for the body style of the fj 40. from the frame up i got that. really nothing else about the fj 40's are that good for me. many of you will disagree, thats why we are offered different things in life.
now to explain the build. yes its alot of jeep parts. but put together in a way that really works. when i built the truck i was into mud and did very well. the v8 and horsepower i needed was nt offered by toyota and a amc 360 was built to handle the job. to hold up to the horses a 727 to gear driven 300 does the job fine. how many of you guys go chevy for the same reasons? so they are amc, chrystler, and dana parts. jeep was smart enough to use what was good and on hand. dana rears come in every car company known, except toyota.
not trying to sell an all original fj 40. selling a good trail rig that was transformed to deal with rocks after my first trip to big doggs 3 years ago. 6000 is alot of money in anyones book but you build a rig from the bottom up that runs rocks and all you do between trips is put gas in it and you will spend more times two.
anyone looking to get into the sport of rock crawl'n and save some trial and error an a build would be money ahead. come spring if the truck does nt sell, no problem, i'll be wheeling at spring fling in gore va.

Not a problem!

How I did it was copy what you had and pasted into MS Word changed font color around then reversed the procedure copy and paste back here.
I could have probably selected all on the post and changed font color with out the extra steps I used.
