1974 FJ40 LandCruiser $9000 SOLD
Engine is 1978 2F rebuilt from Man-a-Fre, with cam and hi-compression pistons. About 1000 miles on engine. Turbo City EFI (GM TBI). DUI HEI distributor. New clutch/pressure plate/throw out and pilot bearings. Alum. radiator. Fluid heat riser. High Torque starter. All done at engine swap.
SM420 transmission (7.05:1 1st gear) AA adaptor to Xfer case. Marlin Crawler gears in Xfer case (3.64:1 low range). Disk parking brake. Front shaft large tube with 1350 joints. Net result 105:1 crawl ratio.
Front axle is 1979 (disk brakes) with ARB, factory 4:11 ratio. Upgraded Birfields. Rear has Detroit Locker.
Front springs Rancho, rear springs Skyjacker, all greasable pins, Rancho RS5000 shocks.
York compressor, lots of Kilby stuff, 2.5 gallon air tank.
80A alternator, dual Optimas (new 10/10), AGR PS box and pump, remote cooler and filter.
15X9 beadlock wheels from Stockton Wheel, 3.5" BS, 35" BFG Mud Terrains.
Warn 8274 Winch.
1974 Frame - no smog in Cali. Front spring Shackle swap. Front boxed for power steering, rear boxed at spring mounts. Round crossmember moved rearward. 1/4" skidplate.
1978 hood and windshield frame. Steel diamond plate corners. Kayline Top (also bikini top). Confer auxiliary tank set up as transfer tank. Confer console. Dashbox. Warn lights. Most pressure lines steel braided (ARB, Brake, PS). Roll cage tied to frame.
Built to wheel, not for show. I haven't wheeled it since 2004, so I'm selling it.
