I don't want or have to do this, but the wife had one wish for Christmas and it wasn't for diamonds. I'll update the CL ad with any thoughts y'all have. Naturally, if anyone wants to take it for a spin from Mud, you're more than welcome (aka, a Mud discount). Part of the proceeds will go directly to Woody to sustain ih8mud. This community has given me so much and I hate that my time in graduate school has kept me from being more active as of late. http://sanantonio.craigslist.org/cto/4259525201.html

(or) 1972 fj40
Not in a huge hurry to sell my cruiser but since my wife and I are looking at buying a home I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea. I can always get another down the road I guess. We spent over two years redoing it. The 40 was taken completely apart and down to the frame. The frame was sanded to bare metal and primered and painted. There is zero rust. Almost every single thing on it is new, including the nuts and bolts. I've put less than 1,000 miles on it since finishing it last summer. There are a lot of attributes on this thing but here are a few. 350 SM465 Trans MSD ignition MSD starter all new engine components (i.e. - timing chain, water pump, battery, fuel pump, etc.) new aluminum radiator headers stainless steel dual...

Letting the market decide its worth, I have way too much in it. Great wheeling truck. I'm the seller, feel free to contact with any questions. I'm bummed to sell, but kept in hopes of moving back to Colorado for good and realized that won't happen in the near future. Selling my Baby with no reserve, high bid takes it unless it sells locally first. I'm loosing my garage storage and want to pass onto someone who can get out and wheel her. This FJ is a beast, but was my daily driver for 2 years. Built 396 Chevy...

1969 fj40 in SC
Looking to sell my '69 fj40 it doe run but has carb issues. Was going to get rid of the GM carb and put the OEM one back on which I do have. It has the toyota PTO winch that does work. I also have a hard top with what I believe are cut down amby doors. I think the truck is a FST. Also have a set of hard doors that need work bottoms are rusted. The truck is very solid and rust free which is why I bought it. Was going to restore it but it may be too much of a project for me. I would like to get $2200 or trade for parts for my fj60 such as rear tow bumper with spare tire carrier, rock crawler wheels and tires.

Long Story: I am selling my 1971 FJ40. This FJ40 is very unique and makes an already rare vehicle stand out even more. The truck has a rebuilt 327 Chevy engine with about 900 miles on it. After the engine rebuilt I started the engine, ran it for a few minutes, changed the oil, installed the engine, and then put about 200 miles of easy driving on it to break it in. Then I changed oil again with Mobil-1 synthetic, then I installed a 4 inch Old Man Emu lift kit, brand new rancho 9000XL adjustable shocks, and 5 new General Grabber red letter tires on 5 new white wagon wheel wheels. I also redid the gauge cluster to include 2 fuel gauges for the primary and secondary tanks, tachometer, speedometer, and an hour meter just for fun. I also...
1973 FJ40 Ground Up resto... Horizontal Blue
I started this project roughly a year ago... It started with a simple restoration and turned into a full restoration... There isn't a good place to end with one of these I figured out! It was all taken down to pieces, with the body left on the frame. Everything was pulled from the firewall, dash and interior before it was painted. So to make a long story short... everything got done in a year that should have taken 4-6 months. There are only 4 things to finish up. -swapping the current brake booster for a 3FE brake booster -need to install an aftermarket radio or new radio? Any suggestions? -rear cargo carpet needs installed -console needs installed. Should i go stock or Tuffy? So, I thought I would throw this out there...
