I originally bought this truck when the odometer read 9400 miles, since then I had installed a secondary tank in the main cabin under the passenger seat, last november i took it to get a complete revamp of the engine and drivelines all receipts can be included and made available. The below description is what was done back in 2006. I have had the truck since 2010 and have only put 10,626 miles on the engine, and it runs like a champ. A very reliable truck always cranks up even with the recent ice storms, never ceases to amaze me. I hate to get rid of her, but we are expanding the family and will need to start down sizing some of my toys. Please see the details from the original restoration by Rocky Mountain Cruisers.

I'm new to MUD, fairly new to Nevada and am looking for an FJ40 to use to access remote areas of desert mountain ranges.
Being new to Nevada, I didn't realize just how restrictive DMV is for what they will allow to be registered in (Clark County (Vegas) and Washoe County (Reno)), unless its registered as 'classic' and restricted to 5000 miles per year.
So, I'm looking for either:
1. An FJ40, newer than 1967, that has already successfully passed the Washoe County or Clark County, NV Smog test and been registered in NV - BUT, not as "classic".
2. An FJ40, older than 1968 - no smog test required, if the engine is also older than 1968. This can be located in-Nevada or out-of-Nevada, BUT, (for me) the body and chassis VINs...

Has anyone had to repair or replace this part? Just a complete rebuild done on my B engine and the mechanics believe this part has gone bad. Im in Indonesia, so of course they say it can be refubed. Part # 22100‑56082 B..BJ40, 43, W/EDIC (01/1982 - 09/1984)

Original 77 california fj40,complete rig, been sitting for years on a ranch, former hunting rig. Good dry california 40, but rear floor rusted due to water puddling, surprisingly the rear sil is great as are the quarters and rockers. Front floors are scaley but no rust through. Back of tunnel rusty. Looks like it has been on its right side, some damage to the top and door and the windows have plexi glass. Doors and rear ambi doors have a little scale at the bottoms but no rust through. If this was on the east coast it would probably be considered very clean! I have a 1973 FJ40 factory soft top project. I had all the intentions of completing it and having fun with it. The body; all the rust has been cut out and replaced. Front fenders have been replaced with tube fenders. Previous owner did all the fabrication. Has original tailgate, not ambulance doors. It has a spring over axle life, brand new 36” Super Swamper tires and Pro Comp rims; it will make an excellent mudder. Motor, has the original 1F motor with all new clutch parts and resurfaced flywheel. I upgraded to a 4 speed transmission. The motor is currently out and I had a lot of work done to it, also new rear main seal. I did a test start and it runs great on the bench. Just needs the mounts put back in (I have them) and the motor...

I am sure that I will regret selling her but I have way to many vehicles and dont really have room for to keep the 40.
The 40 is a great daily driver. runs perfectly straight at 70 mph on the hiway and gets right at 12 mpg.

4 Speed Stock and 5 Speed Twin Stick shift pattern instruction plates. These are printed with sublimation ink on .024 thick Aluminum plate. These look like the OEM shift plate. These do not have holes drilled so you can match the holes you already have or can put them on with adhesive. Not sure what adhesive you would use or how it would hold up. The Five Speed Twin Stick was made to look like the 4 spped as far as spacing style and font with the twin stick transfer added. Please PM me for payment instructions.
