Or trade 1970 fj40 trail/street
This old girl has been sold! Here is my rig. Flexible on price for mud members and I would be willing to trade for a locked 80 series with good mechanicals/interior - body is less important, but don't want a rust bucket. I would also trade for a Tundra or a 100 series, Tacoma, Toyota pickup with 22re/5spd, 4runner with 22re/5spd (solid axle preferably), newer 4runner - I like Toyota 4x4s.. Basically, after a wheelin trip with my fiancee and dog I realize the fj40 is not for me anymore. It runs and drives great, but I want something larger and less modified. Price for MUD members is PRICE DROP TO $6500 OBO. Brian Thompson 540-246-nine six nine seven baconcruiser_at_gmail_dot_com Link to Google drive with a Sh!tload of pictures -...

1968 5.3 Vortec w/4-Link Rear (Sold!!!)
1968 FJ40 Toyota Land Cruiser This 1968 FJ40 is an original California “Blue Plate” collector’s car. I purchased this car on February 17, 2012. I actually paid a deposit, and flew to Los Angeles to personally inspect it. After purchasing it, I drove it from Los Angeles, CA to Jackson, MS without even the smallest hiccup. Since then, the truck has been trouble-free and a blast to drive. This truck has been used as a daily driver driving to and from work, and here and there. I would guess that in total, the truck has had about 5000 miles put on it since I purchased it, a little over 2 years ago. I have been meticulous in keeping it in good condition, and performing scheduled maintenance on the engine (keeping all receipts). I have...

1971 FJ40 project, Seattle
Greetings. I was planning on a restoration but changed my mind. The Landcruiser was running before the parts were taken off. Everything is here but many parts are removed from the body. Tub, engine, tranny, axles are on the frame. 1F, 3 speed on the tree. Body damage on back left. Floorboards cut out but replacements panels from CCOT are included. FSM manuals and tons of pictures on a USB drive. Exterior was sanded down at holes and common rust spots ... trying to find/expose rust. Didn't find it. Not selling parts. $2,500 Located in Redmond, WA The first two pictures are before and the last picture is how it sits currently:
1982 Lifted FJ40 Pacho
I just posted by mistake detailed ad on the FJ43 side! I have three trucks now and I guess I have FJ43 on the brain! Volcan 4x4 is my company and I just bought this great 1982 FJ40. I hope to review and export it to Florida in early May. This is a great truck! It has a 4 inch Rough Country lift with 285 series 33 inch mud tires. I am asking $39,900 for this FJ40. Also the Patrol and the FJ43 are for sale for the same price. You can go to the FJ43 side and see more photos. Sorry for the inconvenience. Enjoy the photos. Fun to have such unique trucks in one place.
Sold. Here are the details from the listing: This truck has been my reliable daily driver for 16 years. Over that time I have put a lot of work and TLC into her. In 2005, she was professionally restored. The top and doors are removable, the windshield can optionally fold down and she has a full cage installed. I have a clean Texas title and the truck is currently in Oregon. Recent work The engine has been professionally tuned, new plugs, wires, cap, rotor and coil in the last 5k miles. The brake pads and shoes, including the e-brake shoes were replace at that time, as were 2 leaking rear wheel cylinders. The engine oil and differential oil was changed just prior to posting, and all other fluids checked. New battery as of 2013...

Re-Post - Fully restored FJ40, TX
I originally posted my refurbed FJ40 in February of this year and learned a lot in the process of the supply/demand, and pricing of the vehicle. In my original posting, I asked for $65k. Though I purchased it for much more, I'm willing to part with it for much less. Why? Because I need the space, and could use the money. Based on the feedback from many, I'm now asking $45k. Once again, here are the specs: 1978 FJ40 Retro-Mod Garage kept Mint condition; only change I made was to add dual engine fans to accommodate the TX heat Brand new Chevy Ram Jet crate motor, now with 1,400 local TX miles, Performance built 4L60 Transmission Rebuilt T-Case Rebuilt Front and Rear Differentials Power Steering A/C Navigation Satellite Radio Custom...
I told myself I would never do this.. But before I bought my 67 Ford Bronco 2 years ago I had a 71 FJ40 pending from a seller. I seriously thought I had it. Long story short.... I was in the market for an Early Bronco or an FJ40... The Bronco came through while the FJ didn't.... Fast forward to now and i'm catching the FJ fever ... So if there are any FJ40 owners looking to unload an FJ40 comparable to my Bronco and looking to add a different horse to their stable... well let me know if you have any interest in a trade. I would prefer a pre 75 FJ40 and a stock look with the steelies, hard/soft top, Original FJ motor, etc, etc. If you're interested we can talk. Here's the link to the local craigslist post...
77 FJ40
I purchased this truck from CCOT in 1996. I have put 8000 mile on it since I've owned it and only 4000 miles since an engine rebuild in 1998! No rust and no leaks! Paint shows better in the photos than it really is but it is very presentable. Emission control equipment has been removed. Upgraded ignition system along with a mag pulse distributer and two stage Weber carb. Old Man EMU shocks and new springs. Stock and tube bumpers front and rear. Options from CCOT were power steering, carpet, new cooling system and CCOT under carriage splash shield. This truck is not perfect, buts its one hell of a nice, mostly original, rig. Asking $24999
Dreaded this day but have to sell my project due to my rottweiler needing some major surgery. The title/VIN, frame, stock F135, 3spd trans and drivetrain is all 1964. The body sitting on the frame is a 1970, great shape only surface rust, couple small dings, no big dents or cancer. Currently the body is sitting on the frame, roller only. Motor ran great before I did the body swap, had great compression too. I also have: - Early SM465 with adapter to stock FJ40 t-case. - Complete 1994 chevy extened cab pickup donor rig: 383 stroker, nv4500, twin stick NP205, dana 60 front and 14 bolt rear. Detroit in rear. 37in tires, transferflow in bed fuel tank. - The donor rig ran great, I drove it home about 3 hours when I bought it. Bill of...
1977 fj40 and 1981 fj60 in Medford, Oregon
I doubt I'll end up selling both of these but I've got one too many. As of now they're both up for grabs and I'll likely keep the one that doesn't sell first. They're located in Medford, Oregon. Asking $12,000 for the fj60 and $10,000 for the fj40 ($11,000 w/ trailer). http://medford.craigslist.org/cto/4610036928.html http://medford.craigslist.org/cto/4610001930.html
I have a 1972 FJ40 3sp on the floor that I use as my DD for sale. I have a chance to get a needle-in-the-haystack motorcycle that is a once in a lifetime find. I've had it about a year and a half now and drive it pretty much everyday. Got some good, got some bad, but it's dependable and you can drive it home if you wanted to - although it only goes about 60. I actually drove round trip to Austin in it a month ago and she did fine. I did not do the work, but the rig is detailed in this thread: https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/72%E2%80%99-%E2%80%9Cblack-and-tan%E2%80%9D-40-build.583242/ I've only added a few things - optima red top, and an alternator & voltage regulator. I drive it everyday. Got hit with some hail a month or so...
One Owner 1978 FJ40 in Arkansas
1978 Toyota Land Cruiser Hi, guys. I'm helping my parents sell their Land Cruiser. I just tried to create a thread with a link to the Little Rock, Arkansas USA craigslist ad but it appears that as a noob I'm not yet approved for links. I'll check back in a couple of days (one criteria for links) but in the meantime here's what we're offering. Also, the attached file is one of several on the craigslist post. This ONE OWNER 1978 Toyota FJ 40 Land Cruiser has 78,000 miles, the original mustard yellow factory paint job, and has always been garaged. It has the 4.2 in-line 6 cylinder engine with 4 wheel drive, 4 speed transmission with locking hubs as well as an 8k lbs Warn Winch. All gauges work. This stock, unmodified FJ looks and...
1972 FJ 40 for sale San Diego CA with service records...
This is the FJ 40 you have been waiting for. It has been a labor of love, but now it is time for someone else to go onward. This Cruiser is 100% stock with the exception of an Old Man Emu 2.5 inch lift, with OME shocks and steering stabilizer. I have also had a rear tailgate fabricated to replace the rear barn doors below the rear hatch that were too far gone with rust to save. The rest of the body is sound. I have replaced both wheel wheels, the rear sill, the drivers side floor board and new rear quarter panels. The inside tub and both floor boards have been coated with Herculiner. All other rust is surface rust that can be addressed when and if the new owners elects to paint. I have a spread sheet listing all work done including...
