I bought this earlier this year, but have to sell now (I have a great opportunity to expand my business and need to focus time and resources on that). I’m really sad to let it go, since I looked for a year before finding this truck. I wanted a 40 that was as stock and original as possible for an eventual restoration, and this was by far the best one I’d seen. This would be a good rig if you’re looking for a true, original survivor with some nice upgrades like a 2F engine and 4 speed transmission, that’s in excellent mechanical condition where most of the major work has already been done. It’s got good bones for an eventual restoration, or just drive as is. It’s really a beautiful truck.

This is a 1972 FJ 40 with 6,824 total miles on the odo since it was driven off the lot. It comes with a period septre long range tank, a PTO winch, dealer installed air conditioning and an elk rack. The original owner trailered it from Arizona to Montana each fall for an elk hunt and stored it inside after each trip.
I have owned it for quite a few years and have exercised it religiously.
These are very drivable examples and this one is all original paint except that I have black powder coated the winch mounting.

I have For Sale (not at my home/location) a 1972 FJ40 that I started the restore on atleast 10 years ago, been in storage ever since then. I'm looking for something in the $4500.00 area. Details:
1. Body work mostly done , few very small dings, grey primer, rear corners already replaced, virgin rear wheel wells, zero rust.
2. 1972 Title with newer one-piece hood, custom dash sheet metal, new tinted windshield.
3. Full set of factory soft top bows, primered. Matching soft top doors with sheet metal skins installed.
4. Brand new (in the original box) Kayline tan denim top for factory bows, with tinted windows.
5. Brand new "Beard" bucket seats with matching Kayline tan denim seat covers (2" wider seats).

More or less stock 40 except for the Ford 302 V8 and is lifted a few inches with longer shackles.
Selling as in the picture no roof, doors or rollcage(already sold those). It is not registered or engineered, it runs and drives very wheel. Also has almost new 31" tyres with 90% + tread.
Has some rust, looks to me like just surface rust as I dont see any holes or anything, the rust I can see is in the wheel wells and some on the bed but most of that is just because its been sitting outside last couple of weeks.

Selling an interesting project 40 here in PA. I had bought this truck years ago, sold it to a friend who took off the front end and all doors to start painting it. That’s as far as he got. I bought it back after sitting in his basement for three plus years. When I originally bought it, the truck had been sitting in an enclosed corn crib on a concrete floor. Inspection stickers on the windshield and the sticker on the license plate say it had been sitting since 1995! The guy from whom I bought it corroborated that time frame. He bought it in the same condition as I found it, he had never done anything with it.

This is a very well maintained 1978 Toyota Landcruiser with lots of upgrades while maintaining an "original" look and feel. This is in excellent condition. I drive it every day. The only thing that doesn't work is the odometer. It has a Chevy 350 with an Australian transfer case. Custom disc brakes built by Ryan at On The Road Again. It has the original bench seat in the front and the safari seats in the rear. Heavy luggage rack on top. It's been on the East Coast (near DC) for less than three years, spent the rest of its life in California. Body is in great shape.

I am selling my uncles very clean and garage kept 77' FJ40. Due to a lack of free time and raising two little ones, he does not have enough time to enjoy this beauty.
I will start off with some history.. The truck was fully restored by a company called "Mountain Rovers" in Billings, Montana in late 2000 early 2001. The previous owner was a Doctor who obviously didn't have any desire to take on the restoration process himself. At least the 20 pages of receipts that I have imply that. I have read through them and it looks like they had this rig in a 1,000 pieces, refurbished everything reusable and/or replaced it with new parts. Here are some numbers..

I am selling this project with TONS of extra parts and ALL the tools I have in my storage unit. Lock stock and barrel.
I have thousands of dollars in tools including air compressor etc.
The engine comes with a turbo, AC bracketry and quite a few hard to find parts. The only major piece missing is a fuel cell. Alternator alone cost me hundreds of dollars for a high amp imported from australia brand new.

1967 fj40 1f eng 3spd trans all original runs GOOD! Has 106,xxx rust free. newish top,mint seats, a few minor dings, small crack in pass fender and small round ding in windshield. Seminole red ext, tan top, black/red int. newish bilstein shocks, newish shackles, 85% bf Goodrich KO tires. I have a 1975 FJ40 for sale. Absolute blast to drive and starts up right away. Trying to have kids soon so need something with a bit more room. Super fun rig, will be sad to let it go. $6,250 pretty firm.

I'm trying to help my brother sell his 1977 FJ40. He bought it as a project and it has been kept in a garage for 13 years until just a couple of months ago. Now it is covered up outside. He got into mud racing and has since been unable to find any extra time to work on it and needs the space in his garage. It has 1977 frame, drivetrain and front half. The back half of the tub is from a '75 FJ40 and was welded to the front half to get rid of rust. It is in pretty solid shape except for some rust on the rockers. The interior has been rhino-lined.
