Still kicking my self for selling last 40 with 350.I'm really wanting another driver's v8 fj. Looking for anything from 8k-high teens. Obviously hight teens wouldn't /shouldn't need anything..hop in turn key and go.But the lower priced ones are fine too with minor rust ,or issues,or "history".May even consider trade of my 40th fj80 .Let me know whatcha got.Thanks-Cody. cmderrick@yahoo 828-301-6111
1974 FJ 40 Houston, TX
I am reluctantly selling my FJ40 due to a relocation with work. I am asking $16,000. I have owned this FJ 40 for 2 years and have kept it garaged the entire time. The previous owner also kept it garaged in Texas. This FJ 40 has been a real pleasure to drive and have. There is very little rust on the vehicle and it is mechanically sound. I do not have the hard top and am selling it as is with the bikini top. This FJ is sprung over and has new wheels and tires. The original F engine has good compression and the original 4 speed transmission works well. The rhino lining on the interior was done by the previous owner. I would be happy to discuss anything more about this FJ 40 in a private thread. Thanks. Below is a list of the...
Selling everything that is shown in the pictures (see link below) for $550. This includes the 8 point roll bar, siginaw power steering, front/rear axle, wheels/tires, knobs, etc. Most of the wiring still appears to be intact. There is no motor, transmission, or title included in the sale. The tub has some holes in the drivers floor board, rear corners, rockers and rear sil but pretty normal wear as far as that's concerned. There doesn't appear to be any bondo anywhere on the tub and it has the original sky blue paint. The tires hold air with the exception of the front drivers side which apears to have a slow leak. I can help deliver for a fee if necessary.

1969 FJ40, Oregon $12k
This is a bit of a feeler, and I know some of my friends are thinking I've got mental issues listing this just after "finishing" a build, but I'm thinking of selling Oliver. I started building Oliver prior to a conversation with the wife that led to me returning to school to become a veterinarian, and knowing what my schedule is looking like for the next few years I've decided that I'm not going to have opportunity to wheel the little truck as I'd like to. Here's the build thread: Introducing Oliver The truck has less than 87k original miles and there's under 100 miles since being brought out of the garage after the build. Drive train: carbureted 350 with under 20k miles, rebuilt TH350 with under 100 miles, np203/lc 3 speed vacuum...
1979 FJ40 in PA $7,200
Decent shape. Approx 105k mikes. Owned it for 14 years. Titled as an 1980 but VIN designates it as a 1979. Nice reliable truck with some body issues. PA state safety inspection through Aug 2015. Hardtop is off but it is in nice shape. Rear ambulance doors in great shape. Best top Supertop is semi-functional but beat up. Has the rear heater. It works. Has radio/CD/MP3 running through door speakers and also a jeep speaker series nicely affixed to the roll bar upper hoop. Frankly this is one of the better speaker solutions for the FJ40 I think. Also has SOR Bikini Extreme top. Interior is pretty nice. Some scuffs on the dash pad but the seats are in great shape. Slight leak from rear engine seal. Steers, Drives and stops...
It is with mixed emotions that I am selling my 1972 40 to fund another project. I have had it for about 4 years. You can see the work that I have done to it if you look up my handle here on MUD. It is all well documented, because all of you helped me so much. Thank you so much for your help and advise over the years. I bought it from a guy in Arizona and it is an Arizona original. Since I have had it here in Kansas, I have not driven it in the rain or salt. It has been garaged every day it has been here. I truly believe it is in very good shape and very little rust and NO SIGNIFICANT rust. No diamond plate, no rust holes, no problem. Runs, drives, and stops great. I can send you pics of whatever you would like to see. I am...

FS/Trade: One owner Sep '79 FJ40 GA
Well, technically I'm the very new second owner. My wife spotted this truck and sent me a pic while I was in Korea a few months ago. Fast forward, As soon as I got back, I went by the residence and left a note. No call back. I then asked a friend that lived in the neighborhood to try and contact the owner. It worked and a conversation and trip to the residence later, I bought it. I bought a September 1979 Freeborn Red FJ40 from the original owner. He bought it new from the showroom floor in Atlanta back in early 1980. The truck was used on the gentleman's farm in north GA when he and his wife would go there from Macon. Around 2008, the truck somehow rolled back down their steep driveway and the passenger door while open...
I'm looking for a 5.3 or 6.0 powered 40…or even a fuel injected SBC 350 will do….just a fuel injected V8 40 series that I can't see through the holes in the body. I'm planing on a 1 ton swap, so axles aren't important….any any location will do. The plan is to make a driver,1 ton V8 cruiser..in the 100-109 WB range…so the better the candidate, the more inclined I'll be to purchase it. Or if you know of a 1 ton swapped ring with a 1F or 2F that could work as well for a motor swap. Something I could drive home would be preferred…..Range of 10k-30k depending on what you got!
TRADE

If you are interested in conservation of such, PM me and I can go deeper of what I have with many pics to show and where it is as of completion and many custom parts that have already been fabed .

1-13-15 - SEE UPDATED POST BELOW and CL ad: http://dallas.craigslist.org/ftw/cto/4829118135.html _----------------- I am offering for sale my 1969 Camaro X-11 Pro Tourer. Please read all of this carefully before contacting me. Mechanically it's new front to back with the best of everything. Needs some sorting still... carb adjustment, rockers readjusted, timing set properly, probably a dyno tune, coil overs and sway bars still need a bit of adjustment. Engine/trans probably have 200 miles since install. I've done quite a bit to this car. Recently installed the new grille, carbon fiber frame braces...things like that. Engine/Trans done in early August 2012. Highlights: Engine: 400 SB .030 bore 406 cu in Parrallel decked Align...
Hello MudderMudders, Was scouring the classifieds as usual and came upon this 80 FJ40. Called the guy and he seemed like a straight shooter. He told me he is looking for 13-15k.... He'd probably take 10-11k Looks solid and fairly clean in the pics. I don't have it cuz if I did I would probably be driving up to check it out. Passing it along in case any one is on the Hunt!! http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/cto/4813715193.html
I have a clean Indiana title and vin plates for a 1980 FJ40 Toyota Land Cruiser that I parted out. If anyone is interested, let me know. I have the frame as well. This would make the perfect custom build. New frame and aluminum body. With this title and vin plates you are legally the owner of a 1980 FJ40.
