1978 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser - Mustard Yellow - Very Original

Damn, she's sexy with that bikini top on.

With Hard Top

As much as it saddens me, having two teenage drivers who are now driving is forcing me to make a change in my car situation.

Thus I am selling Uglina.

I'm not so eager to sell that I'm willing to negotiate or put it on eBay. Yes, I know I am asking a premium price. But I think she's worth it and I know there's someone out there who will agree.

If you want to check out the details go to the website I've created with all the details:

I want to thank everyone here on Mud who has helped me out over the past 6 years. It has been a incredibly fun and rewarding journey and you all are class acts. Someday I'll be back...

Just sold mine and have a big case of sellers remorse. Glad to hear you are keeping yours. Would hate to see someone else suffer the same!

Thank you for your interest in Uglina. I'm sorry to say that since listing it for sale I've developed a case of sellers remorse and have decided to pull it off the market. I simply love her too much to part with her at this time. I hope you understand.

Please check back at For Sale - 1978 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser 'Uglina' regularly because I reserve the right to change my mind again :-).

Of course we understand!

Wise choice......you just needed a little shove in the right direction. You will reap much more by keeping than any other item that can simply be "purchased"

I sold my mint condition 1979 mustard 40 sixteen years ago and STILL regret it.

I saw that 40 when it popped up locally and said.......WTF that's a DEAL, almost made the call.......heck I just wanted the plates ;)

Don't do it man! Don't sell her!

Sweet rig! Not exactly what I'm looking for but s*** it's very temping. Great work...respectable $$$ BIG ups!!!

Just putting the word out!! I'm looking for this caliber of an FJ. I have a "Wanted" post that has more specifics. Just flew in from Phoenix to look at my dream FJ but she turned out to be below par. For a $100K restomod and tremendous custom work both front fenders were covered in bondo and paint was cracking because it. There was also an oil leak coming from the transfer case. It was very possible the plug was loose or not threaded correctly. Anyways...
Apologizes to "Uglina" for jacking up her thread but I know lots of people will be viewing this beauty. Thanx

Agreed, and have someone put in the mods you want.

wow... :(

Yours is the inspiration for my (very slow) build. Sad to see you're selling such a beautiful rig!

If only I had a spare 30K laying around! I'd book a flight to WA in a heartbeat and drive her home!

I wasnt gonna pay $100K...thats what he stated was spent on the resto. I offered in the high $40K range and he agreed. When I noticed the fenders covered in bondo the only logical thought would be... Were else did they use it??!!?? So I had to back out
