I'm selling my 1976 FJ40. If you search the forums for "plaiii-ROTW" you will find numerous photos and info. The rig is older now with some paint flaking and surface rust but it hasn't changed much. It mostly sits in the shop with occasional weekend jaunts. Price is $12000. Located in Mobile,AL. Thanks for looking.

Here are some recent photos (today)

This just seems like a rig I want to get into. I want one that will stay stockish and get me around town and then tow it to the offroad parks to spectate.
I'm going to the bank this week to talk to them about a RZR investment... maybe I should talk to them about this instead....

side note: I'll be in Mobile next week btw... I've been in Mobile for the last two months. Wish I had known this was up for sale! I graduated from Alba High School back in 94

You wouldn't necessarily have to tow it. Aside from the gas milage that is which is 15 MPG at best. She runs great. The wife and I have driven her around Mobile a few times the past two weeks with a for sale sign in the window. I added up the parts invoices from when I built the engine and installed the PTO winch... over $7000. Scared me. Of course that's $7000 the next owner won't have to spend. I had friends tell me I could put a crate motor in cheaper. I just wanted to stay as close to original as I could. Let me know if you want to look at it. I'm in Grand Bay, south of 90.

I've decided to go straight to the bottom line of $10,000.00. I'll keep it before letting it go for less. Not interested in any trades.

Received a PM for photos showing flaws and undercarriage. Thought I would post them here as well. More to follow. Taken today, Jan. 9, 2013.

I took a lot of photos today so it will take several posts to get them here. A side note: The dent on the left front fender showing the underlying red... was from knocking a downed tree out of the way during Hurricane Katrina while rushing to the hospital. A long, yet entertaining, story.
