My FJ-40 get loaded up and headed to Phoenix, and then on to Miami. Kinda bittersweet as I love that truck, but I'm at a place where I need to make changes. Life is a crazy, unforeseen trail. Make the best of it!

A friend of a friend is selling this 40. They bought it about 6 months ago and put about $1k into it. Not sure what they payed for it. I know nothing else about this cruiser, just passing it along.

So the story behind this FJ40. A few months ago me and my grandfather were going to fix up an old Chevy truck, but after my father showed me a picture of an Fj40 i fell in love with them and wanted to fix one of them up instead of a Chevy. So a month ago we got our hands on one that had a V8 in it and us being us, we wanted everything to be original so that's how we got this 1977 model. The day after we bought it we came to the conclusion that it was just going to be to much trouble and money to get everything together and switch them out so here it is lol.

I have an fj40 project. Clean title,body is in great shape, floors great, slight drivers rocker rust and rear sill needs replacement, otherwise very solid California truck. Frame has been cleaned and painted, nice power steering plate, shackle reversal, rancho 4 inch lift and shocks. This rig can be sold several ways. Complete, all sheet metal, truck load of parts, lots of new parts,all original 64 parts( no drivetrain but can sell with an f155/4spd combo) if wanting to go back to stock, brand new rebuilt 383 stroker, 3pd trans/transfer, fender well headers, drive lines, roll cage,33 pro comps, etc $6500, or $4000 no engine, or if no interest I might part it out in a couple weeks.
An FJ40 enthusiast dream vehicle. Was non-opp'd in California back in 2009. Its power plant is a Chevy 350 or 327,You'll want to run the numbers (I'm leaning towards a 350. 4 speed original tranny w/ aux output. I have the dash bezel in storage & bill of sale and there is a clean title. I haven't ever started the engine and will assume it's going to need a rebuild since water is coming out of one of the freeze plugs. no seats and yes that steering wheel doesn't belong in it. it was used temporarily to move it. serious inquiries only and the price is firm.

Front suspension has 18 inches of travel, Fox 2.5 coilover shocks, and a custom 4 link nickel-plated front suspension setup.
Rear suspension is a 3 link design with 18 inches of travel, using a cantilever shock system. Pivot points for cantilever are on machined-down Land Cruiser spindles and the hubs double as the lock and unlock system for the rear sway bar.

I've got a 67 FJ40 that I got from original owners son. It's a black plate CA rig. All options including Belleview Winch, tow bar, factory soft top and bows. It'd got a hard top on it now. He put a V8 in it back in 1974. Driving the mountain roads of Tahoe pushed him to the V8. Was planning on a mechanical resto and leaving the Patina.... I have rebuilt axles with disc brakes, 2-1/2" lift springs for it. It even has a 60's old school cooler that comes with it. My plan was to wire wheel the frame and paint satin black. The motor I was told had 5k on the rebuild.
I'll post some pictures this weekend. I need to finish the spring axles swap. Any interest? I'm adding new 33x10.50R15 BFG's and Welded Steelies and hubcaps. I've also got a set...

Time and finances aren't there. Started the build and am in the process of deconstruction. Tub, cowell, motor, tranny, drivetrain and axles / suspension are still intact. Motor is newer 2F, lift is ProComp 2 1/2". Sold as is for $3000. For $3500 I will toss in the 76 front / rear axle with front disc brakes, new rear sill assembly and poly body mounts. Hey guys I posted before asking for advice on where to look and how to start a FJ40 resto. I'm a "newbie". Never done this before, but I'm dying to start. I'm coming home from my first year of college. I live in Michigan and want a good way to spend my summer. Anybody know of anyone near me that wants to get rid of their FJ? 1982 Toyota Land Cruiser. RHD with a factory 3B Toyota Diesel engine. 4speed with power steering and power disc brakes. Really cool rig that gets 30mpg and has a freshly rebuilt engine. I am already having reservations about listing the cruiser as I type this as they are hard to find. Drives and rides good and is very solid. This cruiser came from Australia originally and has a Tennessee title now. $20k
I would consider some trades on other cruisers, 100 200 60/62series. I also have a Lexus LX470 that I would do a two for one trade on the right 200series.

Hello Mudders , I have decided to put my Beauty of a FJ40 up for sale. It is all original paint, no rust, an original inland California truck from new and then to me in Arizona. I have owned the truck for 4 years, the reason I am selling is that I bought a FJ45 to try something a little different and I need the garage space. I have the top off for spring, it was the first time it was ever taken off! the top of the tub and posts show NO sign of rust. It has a 10k winch on front with a HFS front bumper. Two ridged led lights up front and two hooked as back up lights. All original perfect upholstery except for a tear in the center of the drivers seat. the truck has a 4" lift from CCOT "HFS".
