This FJ40 has been my daily driver for 2 years and has never let me down. It is a regretful sale but I am moving overseas so unfortunately I cant keep it.
It is running the stock 4 speed and 2F engine which runs perfectly on both LPG and petrol (the timing is set to run more smoothly on LPG). The front end has been upgraded to disc brakes.
All 4WD components work as they should with no noises. The seal between the transfer case and gearbox (which often fails) does not leak meaning that the oil in each remains at the proper levels.
I've carried out various maintenance tasks to ensure its reliability and have serviced it regularly. The most recent service was done 5000km ago which included replacement of plugs, filters and fluids (including gearbox/transfercase/diff oil) as well as complete greasing.
The body is not perfect but it is still very presentable and I constantly receive compliments wherever I go.
It has never been abused with serious off road driving and has not been driven on the beach.
The odometer shows 55,600km (due to returning to 0km every 100thousand) but it has actually done 255,600km.
Has front and rear air lockers with the compressor fitted but not yet wired up.
