Looking to part with this amazing '76 original 31,000 miles BJ originally in Costa Rica and now in PA. No signs of rust and no diamond plating patching that can be seen on some others version to hide tub rust. Engine 3.0 liter, 4 cylinder diesel. Clean title with stating original miles.
The interior has been changed to brand new cloth seats which are more comfortable. New factory wheels have been installed with new tires. Lots of extra parts, seals and manuals.
Brand New Batteries x 2 along with fixed and working door locks. have the ignition key and separate door key which can be a problem in cars of this age

1977 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser, 1k miles on S.O.R. rebuilt 1983 2F engine, 4-Speed Manual Transmission. This is a very clean FJ. Odometer reads 76,995, and it could be the actual mileage on vehicle. Yes it would probably have 100k more, but I don't know with it's condition. The body has virtually no rust, only obvious area is the rear deck area (I think caused from the floor padding and it sitting for a bit before I bought it), which I applied POR 15 to the surface rusted area six years ago, and the steel is still very sound (rear fender wells are rust free). Alright here we go my coworker is selling his 1974 fj40 with a sac 350 with a sm465 to a very rare marlin crawler transfer case with low gearing. I just had the Chevy king pin front and 14 bolt rear put under it and repaired a lot of littler issues. Just put in a new steering column brakes new ring and pinion gears. Forsale is a 1977 FJ40 with 105,000 miles on the original drive train. Dont let the rust fool you, this is a good truck. Have been daily driving it fir the past couple of month and even put my dad in it for his 60th birthday for an overland trip. Lots and lots of Man a fre and spector upgrades. The kids are looking at buying a house so Will is putting his 1973 FJ40 up for sale. We went thru everything years ago. This is a Calif pre smog Cruiser. 1F run very strong, upgraded brake booster ( FJ60 ) Brakes work Fantastic, FJ60 elect dizzy and coil upgrade, 3 speed new clutch. Cruiser has no rust Has soft top soft full and half doors, hard doors. New sliders ( not installed yet ) paint is OK I have not installed the front heater I do have all the parts. Anyone looking for a straight crawler project? Ran into a dilemma with the title. As some of you know i acquired this from a family member. Been sitting for close to 20 years. Went to title it and didnt realize it's registered as a jeep. VIN matches both on the LC and title. But the make and model is jeep. Long story short. This family member is not willing to cooperate with me trying to get this title corrected. My plans to make it a street/crawler project has came to a hault. So im tired of dealing with it and want it gone.

ok from some of the comments and questions I thought I would clarify a couple of things.
1. I didn't build this FJ. It has Toys on the Rocks Emblems and as others have noticed this does seem to have some Warden touches but I have yet been able to verify who did the original build. If anyone recognizes it or can put me in touch with the person who did please let me know.
2. If you have a question please let me know. I will do the best to get you a complete correct answer.
1991 fully smog legal Fuel Injected 350 Motor. Has BAR label from referee making this completely legal. Just passed smog with flying colors yesterday. No need to take to a referee...

What an amazing vehicle! I have owned it for 4 years, and am only selling it to fund my next adventure. I just don't use enough to warrant keeping it, so let it go to someone who will put it to better use! This was previously owned and built by one gentleman. He was an electrical engineer so the wiring on this thing is clean!
This 40 runs great, is loaded with extras, and drives better than any FJ I've ever driven. You can cruise down the freeway and it tracks really well! It is incredibly capable off-road with front and rear locking diffs...it rolls over anything!
I'm really torn selling it, but am looking to fund a new adventure, so this must go.

I bought this cruiser several years ago and it had an amateur body off "restoration" including a rebuilt engine, replacing missing nuts and bolts, new shocks, assorted suspension parts, new lines and hoses, temporarily serviceable home made paint job, etc. I towed it home just to be safe and did or had done the following:
replaced all fluids
drained and cleaned radiator
tightened all front end and other nuts and bolts some of which were loose
replaced incorrect carburetor with correct carb
fixed exhaust leak
replaced leaking right front brake cylinder
some zerks were plugged with screws (i know, hard to believe) so i replaced screws with zerks
correctly re-routed all vacuum lines which the "restorer" had seemed to have just attached in...
