Throwing this out there. I bought this FJ about 3 years ago as a bit of a project, and 3 years later I still haven't got it to the point that it's street legal. I'm up in Calgary, Canada, and parts have been hard to come by, and my time is even harder to set aside to keep this going.
With a few more hours, someone will have a beauty truck to bomb around in. I just don't have the time or space to keep it going, and with a baby on the way and an angry wife I should sell it.

I've got whats eft of an 1970 FJ40. It's got the frame, tub, cowl/windshield, axles, wheels and tires. The Cowl is in surprisingly good shape with minimal surface rust. The body is pretty bad... The floors still have some good metal in them but the rear and side panels are not very nice to look at. It has matching body and frame numbers but no title. You get what you see pictured.

For sale is my 1963/4 FJ40. I found this 40 up in NW Montana in 2005. I used it up there for a couple summers and then brought it back to Arizona where it was stored from 2006-2012. I then brough it out to California and started taking it apart one rusty bolt at a time. While I was buying parts I noticed that some of the 64 parts did not fit correctly (tie rod ends). I did some research and found that I had 63 tie rods and a few other 63 parts. I was told that Toyota would often take left over prior year parts and use them on the next years vehicle. 1972 FJ40, selling due to injury and not able to push clutch.
Purchased my dream vehicle 2 years ago,shortly after purchase crushed leg in ski accident. Purchased from friend that owned it for 30 years, rebuilt motor,transmition,rear end.I put new drums brake lines, master cylinder and new shocks on it. Vehicle needs paint and interior upholstered but all is original except for Webur carburator and mechanical guages. I have $16,000 in it and would like to sell it for that.

Just wanted to revisit and update this so people know it has been sold and what price it went for. It's moved on to a great new owner and will be hanging out on a farm in Florida.
So I have come to the sad realization that I don't use or drive this truck enough and would like to begin looking for a new home for it. Somewhere where someone will have time to spend with the rig, enjoy it and take it on new fun adventures.

Correction: its a 66 and 72, I had the years wrong in my head sorry.
66 body tub, top, doors, etc is rust free (only small bit of surface rust), dang near perfect, and in very good shape. I do not have the full interior on it but I do have many parts for it.
The 72 tub isn't as perfect but is also rust free. The p.o. did some work on it to get it cleaned up and more ready for paint. No top, but it has doors, windshield, interior, and all other body parts.
Both have titles.
I also have another late 60's tub that does have some fixable rust in the very back. It's not near as bad as many I've seen but not perfect either. Selling for $600.
I have spare tire carriers with spare wheels, and many other parts as well.

This FJ40 is very solid. This is not your typical East Coast rust bucket. This 1972 Land Cruiser came from Kansas 8 years ago and was partially restored with a rebuilt motor, new paint and new suspension including the leaf-springs.
