The time has come for me to part ways with my Land Cruiser. I'm selling my 1971 FJ40 Land Cruiser. I acquired this Land Cruiser in late 2010 from my mother's cousin's estate. The Land Cruiser was located in Little Rock, AR and as for as I know, my mother's cousin was the original owner. When I got the Land Cruiser, it had been sitting since the mid 90's. I trailered the FJ40 home to Dallas, where over the course of the next few years, I disassembled a little at a time with plans of doing a frame off restoration. In 2013 I relocated to Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, where the Land Cruiser is currently located. Non-restored, but very cared for and maintained FST 1971 FJ40(build date 9/70). Solid, straight and honest. This rig originally came from Chino, CA and has resided in Austin, TX the last 10 years. Don't think I've ever seen a taligate, rear sill or tub this clean on a non-restored rig. I have a binder of receipts dating back to 1997. It had a respray in Pomona, CA in 1999. While the paint isn't original, it presents itself as thought it is and retains a dull shine. At the same time, the inner tub was painted with what appears to be flexstone paint, NOT bedliner. There are couple of small/surface rust bubbles on the driver rocker and just below the rear emblems.
It's running the original F engine, but had a documented rebuild on...

I have decided to sell my 40. 1971 FST, unknown miles, I would call it stock with the exception of the floor shift, rear bench, roll bar, Pertronix, and the coil. Starts and runs well, literally 50 miles since Mark rebuilt the carb. Compression is 125 to 130 in all but cylinder 3 and 5. Those are at 100/105. Rear sill is shot, as well as the DS rear end of the bed. I cut out the rusted part of the rear corners but then went ahead and installed the diamond plate corners. Seats were redone with the SOR kits and I had the back panels powder coated Pewter Gray. Tires are a year old and have about 100 mikes on them. $7500, PM me if interested.

Unfortunately I have to sell my restored 1978 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. This truck was configured as a daily driver, and runs beautifully. I actually picked it up in Georgia and then drove it through the Carolina and Virginia mountains to bring it home on a super road-trip (that is how well is runs).
There has been a lot of work done on this truck (engine, new transfer case, new rear differential, new clutch, chassis stripped and completely rebuilt and painted, front and rear suspension gone through, new brakes, electric power steering added, AC unit added, center console added, new interiors, new headliner, etc.). The paint and body are in great shape with NO RUST and only a few flaws. Color is Beige 464. This is a well-done...
Selling my unrestored 1967 FJ40 Land Cruiser with a 1974 F155 motor. Original three on the tree. I have owned this truck for almost ten years and it has been driven regularly since I bought it. It runs strong and wheels strong. It is far from perfect, but it is a solid truck.
The good:
Body is good. The only rust areas are the rear sill, under the doors and the rear fender wells. Driver and passenger floor pans are solid.
Mostly stock and unmolested – no goofy mods by PO’S. The only non stock items are the exterior paint, driver seat, the cassette deck and speakers and the engine. Oh yeah, and the gun rack.
Runs like a champ. Always starts. It will happily go 65 down the highway all day long. Good oil pressure, doesn’t overheat and...

My wife has decided to sell her FJ40 which she has owned for 22 years. She purchased it from a gent in Washington State. Over the years she and her dad did some restoration work on it, and she and I have done a bit too. It doesnt get driven like it should, so we should find a loving home for it. It's been stored inside for the majority of it's life, and it shows. Many new parts were put on- badges, door weather stripping, headliner from Specter, interior insulation, front and rear rubber mats, new windshield and rubber, and more. I'll dig the receipts out and add to this post.
It has around 80k miles- I will get the exact # later, I forgot to look.
It was repainted around 18 years ago in a blue 'close' to the OG blue...

It is in great mechanical shape and I wouldn't hesitate to drive anywhere. It has been repainted at some point in the past. Paint is probably 8/10 except for the areas identified in the pics. Needs a headliner and window seals on the driver and passenger doors.

It's ugly. Has a Chevy 250 engine... no idea if it's any good. The value is the Advanced Adapters bellhousing which will work on SBC Chevy too. Has the 3spd trans and 2 speed tcase as it should. No rear axle. Front is drums. Frame is workable.
Tub is typical, floors, quarters, sill. Has some good dash parts.

I'm looking for an FJ40 with a low mileage LS1 (or other modern fuel-injected V8) conversion/swap, thoughtful suspension/mechanical upgrades, and a body in decent shape (I want it to look good, but not have a such a perfect body that I'm worried about it every time I take it out). Need a hardtop and standard doors. If the exterior is faded but low on rust that's completely fine so long as it's in good shape. I can take care of paint. Ideally the interior would also have been tended to and suitable for putting in a car seat in the rear for my son to go out with me. This will not be a daily driver, but in the winters we'll use it to get to and from the ski hill, and we'll go out for whole day adventures on a regular...
