So I’m reinstalling the 60% seat. I man handled the beast into the back and it accidentally clipped in with the rear latches that lock to the seat supports in the little pockets. The front hinges are not attached in the springs are holding them in the wrong position. I can’t figure out how to get the seat to un latch. I can get the outboard one to unlatch by making the normal lifting of the seat, but the inboard one won’t release.

Anyone got any tricks here?

Sorry. Never mind. I got it by rocking the seat back as far as I could, and putting a 2 x 4 under the seat then I use the lever to open the seat and fold it down. The 2 x 4 allowed the rotation to happen and the seat released.

Oh man…. I learned this the same way you did. It’s a weird design and all sorts of sketchy to get back in place. Glad ya got it

After I got it free, I put a board over top of the latches so it couldn’t flop into lock position again on me. That’s my lesson learned and will be my practice next time. Also I’m just gonna admit it’s a two-man job. Had my son-in-law come and help me and it took us two minutes to put the seat back with my sleeping platform on the other side. I don’t think I could do it by myself.
