It's a long story, but the short of it is the right thing for me to do is exchange the Troopie for a vehicle more appropriate for comfortably transporting an elderly person around in. (This doesn't mean I need a Grand Marquis or a Sprinter with a wheelchair lift, just a comfy car that I wouldn't mind DD'ing around town.)

Going up for sale is the cab from a 1995 HZJ75 Landcruiser.
I am converting my RHD 75 series to a LHD 79 series.
I know, I know. A lot of work for a couple of inches of cab and more confusion on which is the turn signal or wiper control.
Then there is the whole debate on which front clip looks better. Well my loss is your gain.
The windshield is new. The body is in great shape. Roof, doors, hood with sound deadener, fenders, cab are all good. The only rust is some surface rust on the windshield frame which I was told was very repairable.
I do have the interior including pedals, dash and seats that go with the truck. All the glass of course.

As many of you know I am an amputee & I just got back from the Dr and have orders to give up the manual trans. It seems that I am stretching my hamstring & causing muscle cramps in my below the knee stump which make my leg hurt like crap & my prosthetic not fit.
After 3 days using ice packs & not being able to walk much I am starting to agree with the Dr.
Putting an auto behind the 1HZ isn't worth the time or trouble so I am considering selling or trading off my Troopie. I love this rig so don't expect to lowball me or sucker me into letting it go cheap. I have had it about 6 months now and have done a ton of work. Well the time has come. I said this was the one truck that I would never sale, but I am ready to move on. 1990 FJ-75 pickup legally titled and registered in Georgia, title in hand. This truck is very clean and only has 143,XXX kilometers (89,XXX miles). Carburated 3f engine, h55 transmission, split case and full floater rear axle. 4.11 gears in the diffs and this truck will cruise on the interstate at 70 mph turning 2150 rpms.

I'm looking to buy a Cruiser--my first. I'm mainly looking at HDJ81's, preferably with 3rd row seats installed. Or, I can do that myself after the fact. I'm also considering Prado's. Diesel only for both. Manual transmission preferred. Basically, my requirements are low kms, little or no rust, pref 7 or 8 seater, diesel for fuel economy and ability to handle crazy roads. The 98' HZJ75 is pretty beat up, and some parts are missing. These trucks were used in the mines, which is about the only way you can get these, so unfortunately there are no titles available. Needless to say, they're rough, but run well. Use this in a conversion, and you've got a hell of a drivetrain for a small price tag.

I'm sure he'll be posting on here in a couple of days......I saw this vehicle a few days ago to buy for myself.....it is the cleanest cruiser i've ever laid my eyes upon. the owner originally bought it from Outback Imports, but has purchased an 80 series from them and wants to sell this one. The owner was very open and honest with my questions and seems very genuine.
I'm getting married in Oct and my old lady won't let me make any major purchases till after the wedding......and i'm more than a little bitter at having to pass on this cruiser......if anyone wants to see an excellent example of a HZJ-73 this is an opportunity you do not want to miss.
