1991 FJ80
Bought it about 7 years ago with 175,240mi on it, rebuilt the engine and head new everything including cam and crank was polished.
7 years later it has 209,366mi so the motor has 34,126mi on it
I personally maticusaly cleaned every part in a solvent tank and painted them.
Exterior has a few minor dings and brush scratches rock chips on the front of the hood
Tires, 35" 75%
Transmission, H41 4 speed manual with split case
Decent stereo and sub
Lift, Oldman emu 4" with metal spacers in front
Aussie locker in front w/ manual Aisin hubs new bearings and seals
Custom bumpers with winch
Interior is in good shape and all water leaks are fixed including new window gasket.
Onboard air "needs work"

I don’t want to sell it but I feel like I have no choice.

Also all smog was removed but I saved the pump

some pic's are with the old 33" tires

I personally wouldn't pay more than 2500 for a nice 91 or 92, and yours is really nice. I would just keep it. Being in Cali though, they go for more up there. I say barter on CL if you have to sell it. You'll do better that way.

I'll give ya $2501 for it. Let me know so I can book my plane ticket...

LOL 2500 for that thing? i would be absolutely shocked if you couldn't get some decent coin for your 91, people love trucks that are beefed up like yours, i dont know of an exact number, but i would guess in my area you could get a solid 5-6 grand more for the right buyer, especially if its in as good condition as you say. definitely craigslist with some good photos and a good description of every part of the car and you'll find someone who is willing to pay. or you could simply part it out and bring it back to stock sell all of the bolt ons you have put on and sell the truck as a stock (or near stock 91)

I dont think you could get more than $5000 and I think that is a little high for it, you would need the right buyer to understand what all you have done, most people dont get it.

~$4K ???

You still gonna put together the drawings for that bumper?

@gtfour43
Yes, I had to park my LC out of town for reasons you and guess
so its difficult getting dimensions I need for the alterations.

I'd like to put the frame to bumper mount holes on the CAD file so it will just bolt right up. If someone has there bumper off and can take accurate measurements of the 3 bolt holes in reference from the end of the frame back and the top down, it would help.

I'd rather move, especially with the work you put into it.

As you probably know finding a buyer in California without a Smog Cert or smog equipment installed is near impossible since it is required by the seller to transfer road legal title. Also have to either find a mud member or someone who knows the work put into it. I would suggest reinstall the smog equipment, put the front plate back on and ask for $5000.

I only say 2500 because people like brands like ARB more than custom even if the custom is better. btw, the rear bumper is sick. Also, it has a 3fe... which I like, but is way outdated. And the rear axle is not as stout as the 93-97.
You can find someone who will pay more for a 91-92... but I got a locked 96 for 3800 (done a lot of work since then for tires and lift...) and a high mileage 91 for 1000.
You can get more than 2500 in Cali for sure, but that would be my personal limit for a fj80 vs a fzj80. Really, keep it. It's too nice to sell. Gas isn't that bad considering no car payment I assume and cheap insurance.

Cross reference it with some of the FJ80's that have sold on ebay. That'll give you some idea of how to price it though local supply might affect that some. If there's tons of FJ80s in your neck of the woods, maybe come down a bit. All told, set the price you hope to get. You can always go down from there. 5K seems like a good starting point for around here (Western NC), but there's not that many FJs around. Yours looks good, has sweet custom upgrades, and would probably catch a buyer's eye. I think $2,500 is too low.
