just thought I would post up a pic of the center console I finished today. It has holes cut for the rear heater, an inverter on / off switch, and ac and dc plugs. Now I am working on the upgraded alternator, dual battery system, inverter and OBA setup.

I will do a full writeup on all of it when I am finished.

hey landcruiserjunky! just noticed that the smittybilt thread was yours! thanks for the info

Noah

I haven't sat in the back since I installed the smittybilt so I didn't recognize it from the back. I can't wait to see how it turns out in an 80 series as I HAAATE the stock console

Design specs would be great also.

I like! Can't wait to see the write up and more pics.

more pics plz!!!

Cheers,
Mike

I hate to thread necro but did you ever take any interior shots etc. of this console? It looks like a really good design. Interested especially in where you put the inverter, ran the cables, etc. Thanks.

Ditto on the pics. Also, what's the model number on that Smitty please?

Interesting.

Noah is running the Rubicon so you probably won't hear anything until he gets back.

back and home safe, minus a bent up fender and some door dings! :)

right now I have not gotten to anymore of the inverter setup. The console just holds the plugs right now. Not much else to show. I plan to mount the inverter in the rear cargo panel along with some dc fans to keep it and the air pump cool.

Of course I can do this type of work for anyone whom needs it, just give me a call. I promise to get a write up when I finish it eventually. Just lots of work and other projects keeping me busy right now.

Gotta get out to the garage as I have an 80 series wagonrack due to the customer on Saturday.

Are you selling these?

to answer your question, YES, but I would do them each as a custom unit. I could purchase the console and modify it to fit whatever you would like. I don't plan on making any production units as the demand is just not there and I find most customers all want something a little different. Shoot me an email or pm if you need more info.
