Searched the old threads and there seemed to be lots of interest but looks like not many people made the leap. Can we get a roll call on Parabolic 60's?

saving my nickels as we speak.... and can we get a roll call of the cost? the last word I got was that they were going to be "similar to the fj40"

I was thinking about posting the same thread last week. Sometime in the future, depending on mudders thoughts on them, I plan on trading my ome suspension for the parabolic. Maybe with some airbags in the rear for added support. Man-a-fre sells them last I checked, but I dont think they were even sure on what went well on the 60 series. Maybe steveo can chime in here.

I just did the quick math and I come up with $1000 for everything including shocks and a new steering stabilizer. Now the deal breaker could be shipping from MAF. I have heard of some INSANE shipping charges from them, though Im not sure what the total weight is for all of this stuff. From CA to WA no way Im going to pay more than $75-100. I call MAF and get the skinny on this and a total from them.

Just got off the phone with MAF, and yes the are dumping the Line and blowing out their inventory. $1000 for everything! thats a sweet price.

Why

Are they dumping the line due to sales or reviews?

I was told they had a dispute with the manfacturer over the specs on the 4 leaf packs. Im really leaning this way. If I do the install myself Im saving $1000 VS an installed price on OME.

read the last post here. he says something about the lengths not being right. You should contact steveo at manafre to get the real lowdown. I would hate for you to spend $1k on this stuff if it wont even fit. let us know and thanks for the legwork.

Installing a lift is a straightfoward thing to do. The only problem is taking the old stuff off.

I think that Im going to pass on this, wasnt there some guy on the east coast that was making springs for 5-600?

Already talked to Steve at MAF. No issues. The only length issues I saw on the old posts was a guy that installed them backwards.

Thats a very good question. I dont know. Land rover guys love them so its not like this is a new technology.

soo i just ordered the front parabolics...

my front lift springs are shaped like Ws when the weight of the truck is on them and i get some funky steering because of it. so after reading this thread and realizing the springs are on clearance i called man-a-fre up and now i have the TIC front springs on the way

hmm thats the only post I can find on sagging got any other examples? what springs was he using? was he using 40 springs? seems like a no brainer if he was.
