The install of the winch was held up by the need for spacers, I used the same rugged ridge ones that were suggested in another post by @half k cruiser and they gave just enough clearance at 3/4" for the winch only thing now is to obtain slightly shorter bolts than what came with the spacers so that they sit flush with the bumper. Winch is on the bumper though and new hydraulic hoses from pump and gear box are ran through a hole in the frame and held up out of the way with zip ties. Probably could have shortened them by about a foot but then it might have made for a more interesting install.

I also before last weekend ended up finishing up the install on one of @reevesci tailgate storage lids. I believe from the first batch. I ended up using as my carpet inside the tailgate the old cloth that used to cover it by removing the cardboard that it was stapled to, looks pretty good right now as just the brushed aluminum but maybe someday it will get lined in some fashion. Used a dremel saw to cut away the metal and then some tinsnips to get anything that the saw couldn't. Used a grinder and file to get rid of burrs ...

Looking good. If you don't have a hand throttle I would suggest pairing one up for that winch. I timed it and a bump to about 1400rpm makes a huge difference in line speed.
I have one in my watch list on ebay just haven't pulled the trigger yet

There are some of the online overseas toyota parts houses that have all the parts you'd need for pretty cheap. I'm thinking about buy u-joints and a hand throttle parts if we get a big order together shipping from Japan or UAE isn't that bad. Just u-joints was about the same as the that local toyota dealer ship with our discount. But add volume and it cuts it down a lot.

We just have to make sure to keep the order below the 800 dollar value threshold and not too many of the same parts so it doesn't look like we are setting up a shop with the parts, I would be in on parts I do need some for rebuilding axles prior to the swap I have planned, and new u joints might not be too bad of an idea let me know and I will scrounge up the funds

Ended up getting a local shop to do this because I was having issues finding a 30 mm 6 point socket to get the crank to tdc. I have had a leak that I believed was at the distributer and it looks like after the o-ring replacement that the leak has stopped. Had them go ahead and replace the cap, rotor, plugs, and plug wires while they were in there. These parts all probably being 14 years old based on the wires that were on it at the time. Part numbers used all OEM. 90099-14118, 19101-66010, 19127-66020, 19102-61240, 90919-21557. Also finally got around to getting the other bung welded onto my exhaust so that I could get rid of the check engine light from not having both 02 sensors.

Bought the shorter bolts that I needed so that they don't stick out on the winch and got them installed still need to get that rope for the winch might have to wait until after our trip to Colorado though. Also looking for some OME heavies for the front after the winch install just to level the truck out currently sitting on mediums.

Just got back from our 2 week trip to Colorado and the major run of passes that we did over the two weeks. Our first day of passes in Silverton were Corkscrew Gulch, Hurricane Pass, Califonia Gulch, Placer Gulch, Poughkeepsie Gulch and Mineral Creek. The second day was Black Bear Pass, Imogene Pass, and Yankee Boy Basin. The third day we did the Alpine Loop starting with Engineer Pass and ending with Cinnamon Pass. Somewhere along the way we blew out a rubber bushing on the drivers side front shock. Ended up using a radiator rubber bushing to replace it since it looks like the only way to get new ones is with shocks. This allowed us to get back home, but still did a few passes while in the Gunnison area that we usually do and added Napoleon pass to the list. Hit my sliders a few times on Black Bear Pass and then smashed up my tailpipe between a rock and rear bumper on Imogene Pass.

Well I finally purchased a rope for my winch 100' of teal colored diamond line with the excel hook, now if I copy @half k cruiser and get dobison springs for Zippy the colors will match. Also included is a sticker that came with it that I am not allowed to put on the truck…

Well since TLCA sent out an email for stories I decided to put together one about the "trail repair" I did while in Colorado this is a photo of the bushing I pulled off and replaced with a radiator mounting bushing. ARB stepped up and stood behind their product when I called, received a whole new set of bushings for the front shocks. Hopefully it gets published if not oh well still fun to write it up.

Don't know if it was some of my braking problem or not but the pads I pulled off were pretty close to the same thickness for the two coming off as one of the two new going on the rear brakes. Also had a pretty stubborn caliper piston to push in on the drivers side. So new rear brake pads installed this morning and afternoon. Also purchased enough vacuum hose to replace all my vacuum lines on the truck at some point and a little extra since some of those vacuum controlled systems are up for deletion.
