Yakima platform roof rack

Firstly, I've just joined, so this is my first post, obviously. There's some interesting i fo on here.
I'm hoping someone can help. I'm looking at getting a Yakima platform roof rack for my 100 series. Does anyone know how much room is between the roof and the underside of the platform at the front and middle of the rack?

Depends on how you mount it. FWIW, there are 100 series-specific platform racks on the market that are much better options.

unless you are getting a prodeal on Yakima, go with something built for the 100.

Thanks for the replies. I've had a look at others and Rhino rack is noisier than the yakima and dearer.

I think they're talking about prospeed or dissent. I'm not a roof rack guy(yet) but i would probably also check slee, bump it off road, and trail tailor. Then check the big guys like ARB and Ironman to see if they have any options.

Some of who i listed probably don't make roof racks but I'm sure someone who knows better will come along shortly with actual experience

Neither of those are built for 100 series. They’re generic.
