Thought I'd start a thread for our annual xmas tree/snow run/recovery/winching/vehicle roll over/stranded rig overnight/kids having a ball/adults hurting themselves while sledding event :D

Post up on what everyone's schedule is looking like.

I'm sure you can still get pretty deep in Outback-friendly trails and your skills, as long as ground clearance and a need for low range don't become an issue.

I'm open any weekend ... so far.

i have empty axle housings... hope i can make a new years run.

What is going on, everybody's trucks are broken?

Is this a Toyota club or a Heep club?

I'd love to go, but the weekend days in December are filling up quick. I will just follow along and see what gets scheduled. If I can make it, I will. It's always a fun event!

my rig runs, and loves it in the snow! everything stays cooler. depends on the day for me.

Jared, there's a few 100-series for sale in Albuquerque on Auto Trader. You could solve that problem very quickly.

Completed our xmas tree/snow run in the OB today. 5 people, 3 dogs, 2 sleds, snowboard, and bigass xmas tree don't fit in/on the Sube nearly as well as the 80, but at least I can still drive the Sube with blown HGs and not worry about it.:o

Went up FSR106 (Thompson Ridge) and got a nice tree. Not much snow there, but if I headed back to the slash pit where we did the snow run last year with the "other Jon Stewart" I'm sure I would have gotten stuck. It was snowing when we headed home near 5.

I hope the rest of you make it out to get your tree.

Might be able to swing a trail ride on Sunday...
