I am hoping to find someone who has a decent carburetor core. I am looking to rebuild a carburetor for my 1984 FJ60. Ideally I would like to procure a carburetor core, rebuild it, and swap it with my tired carburetor that is currently installed. I then want to rebuild the tired carb for a shelf spare. If you happened to swap for a Weber or TrolleHole carb and have that old carb sitting around I am happy to take it off your hands.

i have a 2f carb, complete, bought it for the same reason way back when. Sitting in a box unused. Make me an offer.
Thanks.

Great news. In the name of transparency I haven't the slightest clue what a fair price would be. So I'd hate to offend with a lowball offer. Is it in fairly good shape? Do you know what part of the country it lived in for most of it's life? Trying my best to find a fairly clean core for a solid foundation.

Thoughts?

i honestly got it when i had my gasser. that was over two years ago. I have no idea what I paid for it and where it came from. It's all complete! though. I will take some pictures of it and maybe do some research to see what they go for. I dont want to make a fortune or rob a fellow cruiser nut but it would be nice to get my money back.

Looks like there are at least 3 on eBay, used, going for 200 and up. Well asking price that is. How's 150 sound plus ship? Please allow me to take pics first though. Unless of course, you want to go for the eBay ones... You know what I mean. Not trying to force your hand.
Alex.

Not forcing my hand in the least. I'd like to have a look at the one you have and make a decision. The number I had in my head was a $100 but it was literally drawn from the air. We are certainly in the same ball park. I just started vetting the details of this initiative this morning.

ALL-

First and foremost, thanks to everyone for replying to my request. As always, this forum delivers. Truly a collective of solid folk. I was fortunate enough to source a carb locally from a Mud member.

Thanks again!
