I am compiling parts for a 1HD-T swap into an FJ62.

Having trouble finding the above two items, so wondering if any body has spares laying around!

Also looking for battery trays for the 60 series, as it has none. I will need two, as the starter on the 1HD-T is 24VDC.

Cheers,
Austin

I'm pretty sure you can get the air cleaner from Toyota still.

And you can run a 12v starter too - same starter as the 1hz. It is a common mod to convert to 12v start as the solenoid that combines the two batteries for 24v cold start can be problematic. This also allows you to have dual isolated 12v batteries.

You can get trays here: Stainless Steel Battery Trays for TOYOTA LANDCRUISER - https://www.stainlesstrays.com/
Awesome, thank you!

I like the 12V starter idea. I have one attached to my 13B and it does fine. Should be ok for the larger 1HD-T in mild weather with a good battery. I will start looking.

As for the air cleaner, yes, it looks like they were available, just expensive so I was hoping to save a few bucks and buy used.

And thank you for the stainless tray. I will likely go that route.

Cheers

Would highly recommend going to a Racor setup instead of the OEM. YMMV, but the factory setup had a lot of air issues on mine.
Interesting - I will have to research that further. I am not married to OEM filter set up as this is a bit of a frankenstein build anyway. The IP is on the opposite side of where the fuel lines come up the frame rail, so I am going to have to fab something up for that anyway.

Is there a particular Racor PN that you recommend?

Even in cold winter weather 12v will get you started if your glow screen is working and your motor is healthy. I've had no issues in the low teens with my 1hz and working glow plugs.
Cool - good intel. Compression numbers are good on this one, but I have still never heard it run, so bit of a leap of faith.

This is probably good for you. I think they make a smaller one too: https://ph.parker.com/us/en/product/racor-replacement-filter-element-spin-on/r45t. If I remember, right it's basically the volume that you are flowing per hour that makes up the 45, etc. I use a R60 on my 7.3. You can get everything from heaters, pressure (vacuum?), and water indicators. Ebay is your friend here. You can also get 2, 10, 30 micron filters. The lower micron is better than the factory stuff (again, from memory)

You might want to consider the HDJ79 dual in-line fuel filter set up. You can mount it wherever you want in the engine bay with a couple of rivnuts or a simple bracket.
