David - when we building that shop of yours? Let me know if/when you want to get started now that the weather's turning cooler.

I'm thinking about Nov 18th, I should have all of the wood ready to build

I painted the roll bar the other day and got it mounted today.
I might go back out tonight and adjust the float on the carb, had to come in,and do some paperwork for work, but I'm about finished, so hopefully it'll be running right tonight.

Got some of the parts that I pulled Tuesday installed!

Looking good.....Turbo popeye

The only wires are for the backlight so I didn't wire it up... The horn still doesn't work unfortunately, so I probably need to trace the wires. Probably get the front seats in tomorrow and clean up everything. If anyone goes by Don's to get something off the 4runner, how about grab me the rear carpet and rear floor mats. I should have got them while I was there!

There are still some good parts like the dash cluster, computer, switches, etc... and of course engine and transmission! I could use the rear floor mats and rear cargo carpet if anyone goes over there for anything else!

Any of you guys have experience rebuilding 3rd members?

The bearings are shot in my rear 3rd and I would like to replace them and drop an Aussie locker in there at the same time but I have no experience with 3rd members.

My electrical problems appear to have come down to one component... the alternator. I’m not saying replacing it is the hardest thing I’ve done to this truck, but I will say it took longer than I expected. Also, it was a great learning experience and it will take a fraction of the time next time. The 80 is trail ready once again.

The story of my wrenching life. I'm glad you're ready to roll, GSMTR '18 is just around the corner.

Yeah, about that... no GSMTR for me this year... Too close to The Relic Run and one week before a vacation to Nashville... Y’all have a blast, though!
