Get the Toyota -20004 filters from CDan. Nothing else can compare...

Both are not very desirable, but the Wix is the better of the two. As others said, 20004, then regular toyota small filter (which only runs about $5). If you want to run aftermarket, the Napa Gold filters, and Mobil 1 filters are the way to go.

everyone bad mouths Frams, but I've driven several cars to over 100K using them. If you change oil and filter every 3K miles, you could use a roll of toilet paper in a green bean can with no ill effects.

Why would you want to change it every 3000 miles when you can change every 10,000 comfortably?

I've been using the Napa Gold for 25K with no issues. Fairly inexpensive and can be found locally any day of the week.

Napa gold filter is a wix filter, so that is a little contradictory.

This may be hard to comprehend, but there are many different levels of wix filters, just like Toyota builds many different vehicles.

Mobil 1, K&N or Amsoil filters...

Forgot about the K&N. As much as their air filters suck, their oil filters are a very well made filter for aftermarket (by Champion labs I believe).

all I use(except for the case of Toyota filters I got cheap) are WIX, been using them for years(on all my Cruisers), matter of fact my Toyota parts guy uses them on his Toyota's

It might be more constructive to point out the "bad" Wix filters. They only put WIX on the top of the line which is what NAPA sells as the Gold filter. They do make "value lines" but they were are all called something else and you need to squint to find Wix/Dana as the origin. What's changed?

Good Wix = Napa Gold. For Cruisers Part # 1515.

Bad Wix = Napa Silver.

I've used the Napa Golds frequently if I don't have any Toyota filters on hand. They are excellent filters and available anywhere. It's funny, but the Napa Gold is actually cheaper than the Wix brand filter itself. Maybe that's a volume thing, but they are the exact same filter.

If I had a truck as nice as a 100 series, I think I'd only use Toyota.

 That's the way it used to be way back. Napa Gold didn't exist until they introduced a value line to compete with the Fram / Purolator crowd. Before then, all Napa sold with their name on the box was the good Wix.
