Those are really purdy.

Are the corrugated areas to reduce any flexing and reduce stress on the pipe/joints or do they serve another purpose?

The wastegate is hard mounted to two planes in 3D space. The Turbine is hard mounted to two different planes in 3D space. The tolerance on the wastegate, turbo and J-pipe are varied. So in order to guarantee everything bolts up the way it’s supposed to, those two flex joints were installed in what I felt was it’s absolutely relaxed state. Meaning they aren’t pushed in any one direction. But having them there makes installation a total snap and removes potential stacked tolerance issues between components.

That's what I suspected. Excellent and well thought out execution as usual!!

Is that pipe purty or what.

It is ribbed for your motoring pleasure. :grinpimp:

god I love it when you talk dirty to me.......

Crazy day with orders and more IT headaches. Too many phone calls I need to try and return but not enough hours in the day.

I did make sure I spent 15mins with my brother to get the downpipe test fit. I have to say it’s almost embarrassing at how easily the downpipe bolts up with the turbo and wastegate. Zero drama. A crazy amount of time was spent putting the downpipe together and all that effort shows. I was so happy I could feel my eyes well up 😉
