Yes they are threaded to 1/4-20

I’m also adding two additional 1/4-20 tapped holes at the very bottom of the arm so that you can attach something that mounts under the mirror. It doesn’t show that in the pics but they will be there for the production.

2 Questions ...

1: Are screws provided? If not, can you provide a good source?
2: In order to mount something (scan gauge, etc.) in the holes on the arm or on the bottom, will we need to make our own brackets and such?

1. I’ll be providing those screws.
2. No and yes. The issue is that not all mirrors are the same physical size and some that were previous OEM mounted mirrors may have funky shaped mounting blocks that that fit the interior design for a specific make/model vehicle. I will be making SOME mounting brackets but I think they should be treated as more universal than anything else. They may likely be aluminum so you could bend them to your liking. I haven’t put a ton of time into it but I’ll have something. Those will not be part of the kit but available separate.

Those seem to be pretty standard, haven't found any with outside temp sensors, that would be nice.

Thanks, I finally found those, but it doesn't look like the temp sensor type come with map lights, I would rather have the version with map lights.

Yea, I ended up with a 221, no temperature or garage door opener but auto dimming, map lights and compass.

Saw the Gentex arm via the Wits End newsletter and couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about. Auto-dimming and map lights is slick as s***. Will have to pick one up for Moonshine.

Not yet but I’ll be exploring that myself pretty soon. I just pickup up an electricians fishing tape to help with running the wires.

Wire can be run inside/outside the A pillar...
I ran two wires (RJ-12) on the outside and just under the headliner....
Looking at what e bay has to offer it should be a 2-3 job......
