I'm in for one when they're ready. My mirror fell off and I've tried gluing the damn thing back on 4 times now and can't get it to stay. I really miss seeing behind me. That and knowing how hot it is outside or what direction I'm going in without having to look on my phone. :hillbilly:

JB Weld 5 minute epoxy is the only glue that worked for me.

I've never had a problem with the regular ol mirror glue you find at the parts store. Not sure why it's not working now. I'll give that a try if NLXTACY drags his feet with this mount!

Thanks!

Just a couple of updates. Have four Gentex mirrors now and it seems they all have different types of cables so the design needed to change to accommodate the cable options and retention. The holes you see on the facing side are NOT the same as used for the retention plate on the back.

I am pretty sure this is something I must have. Even if I don't use it immediately, I can't risk it not being available when I am ready.

Why all the hate for the wedge glued to the glass? I've had a Scion TC mirror stuck there for over a decade. :meh:

Because for whatever reason I am stupid with windshield adhesives. They work great for about a season...it gets cold and I find the mirror on the floorboard. In your case, I would find it swinging by that power cord. HAHA

It's all about glass prep. :grinpimp:

My glass installer buddy stuck mine on. I guess he welded it......:)

you have to get the good glue that the glass installers use, the stuff you buy at the suck Zone is junk my gentex has been on my 80 windshield for 5 years

I apparently need more friends who do more things. :)

It's not what you know, it's who you know.:)

I'm in for one of these 100% if you produce them.

I've got a layer of nearly clear tint that the mount won't glue to very well. :meh:

Since we (you) are still in the R&D phase...This would be a great place to mount an ARB fridge remote temp display and a ScanGuage II. Maybe some sort of threaded screw holes along the neck to add "stuff" later on or RAM ball mounts...I could go on and on...

Now you've done it!

There are currently (2) M6 threaded holes that are part of the design ;)
