Likely aluminum but powder coated. UV ruins anodize and the mirror arm will be in sunlight the whole time.

I'd be curious to see if the arm would match up and work with a 1st gen Tacoma. They look similar and I've been considering putting a gentex mirror in that truck as well.

All I need to know is if it mounts the same and if the angle is the same. It’s actually why I’m doing this in two pieces so that it can be mix/matched.

I'll check it out this weekend when I get home from work. I've already put the gentex in my 80 but it's glued to the windshield. I'd redo it with your arm but I'll compare the 80 rearview to my taco and provide some input.

BTW been meaning to thank you for the JIS screwdrivers. They have made life much easier in Toyota land.
