the lv is just about on the road. i insured it last week and will register it next week. all that is left to get it on the road is the wiring, most of that is done just the dash and colum left. I'll take some pics once it moves out of the garage in a few weeks.

not much use taking pics in side the garage they never come out well and they don't do wilma any justice. I made a good dent in the colum wiring today and hopefully another large enough dent in the wiring nthis week, to be able to safely start it and drive it out of the garage over 4th of july week end.

I'm restless at work today I have a 4 day week end coming up not sure how much I will get done on the lv. I have some parts coming in from SOR odds and ends. rear seat belts over flow bottle. ect.
figured I would break my rule of not posting any pics until it gets out of the garage. I took these pics the other day to send in to the insurance company. they are what they are. I can't get far enought away to fit the whole cruiser in a shot and I have to many tools and crap in the way as well but you get the idea of what is being pictured.

this coming week end should be a good push for getting it done....

Nice Job Jason!!! So how did you make out with the insurance company when you spoke with them. Did you give them the link to your build thread?

thanks jason, you helped!!!
I didn't get back intouch with the insurance company until today due to the holiday week end. but i sent a good point paper to there questions and sent a bunch of links to ebay 45lv's that had sold and some fact's about when landcruiser were first built.
most antique cars taht are insured are usually american i just don't think they have a large data base for land cruisers. they appreciated the links and step one of the paper work to get her on the road is done. now just need to register it and get it inspected :)

Jason I came by this morning to check out your rig but you weren't home. I wasn't going to start checking in windows though.

damm really what time did you stop by? we left at 0900 to go to a family cook out in CT. and didn't get back till 6pm.
I will be in the garage all day tommorow though :) were you in the 45?

looking good Jason, any more work done?

I have been making progress. it starts and runs again. forgot to put the fuel pump spacer on the new fuel pump so the pump arm had broken. so i dropped the pan and changed out the pump and got her running again. she idles at 1100rpm. i am workin gon getting that down to 680 at idle. but I think I am past the stage of letting it run for 5 minutes and seeing were it leaks . i think I have gotten all the hoses tightened down.
the wiring is still not finished but I have gotten the harness side plugs for the OEM switches.

been working on getting it registered as well. and the brakes are ready for fluid just need another set of hands to fill and pump while i bleed them. it should be rolling out in the next couple weeks. then some day light pictures...
Jason

then some day light pictures...
