i left the catolog at work but it was $279 for the bi level heater.its not quite as big as I would like but it will do the job. it has a floor vent and 2 upper ports that you hook up to your defrost vents. I was thinking about splitting the defrrsot ports with a Y in order to feed the center 2 ac vents I installed but will see how it goes during instal

well its been a week or so since I posted last . I have been making some good progress. my camera broke so I will need to get a new one to post more pics. I had to barrow my wifes to take these.

first major project was mounting the shoulder seat belts on the B pillars I welded a nut to and 2"x2" 1/4" sttel plate that i then mounted to the inside of the B pillar. i had great pics of the process but they are somewhere in my broken camera...
anyway I am really please with out it all came out. I used mid 90"s taco front bench seat shouldr belts.

next major project was getting the rear bench seat cleaned up and mounted with the rear carpet. it cleaned up nicely and doesn't have too many rips the plan is to put a tuff duck slip cove ron it .

I also tore apart my rear door and have all the correct weather stripping on the way to hopefully get it pt together correctly finally.

I mounted the rar lift gate and tailgate weather stripping and am pleased with how that came out.

I also wrapped the steering wheel in 1" nylon web. its a nice weave and I like how it fells enought bite for a decent grip and it last forever..

I also took apart the lights and got all the correct peices order to get them and the front bib back together.

oh I forgot to take pics of the exhaust its all in and bolted up.

alot of projects going with a few of them getting complete. I leave in a week for a 2 week work trip to Hawaii. so my progress will get interupted for a bit but I am happy with my progress for sure.

on the steering wheel cover the tails ont eh right will get trimmed and woven in adn the ends hand sticked so as to leave no tails visible.

as far as the plates go I plasma cut a 2" hole in the B pillar tack welded the plate ont he inside then welded it back shut. it was far easier than I thought it would be and did not take much time at all. fun project all together. I want to put shoulder belts int he rear for the girls might do the smae thing but am leaning toward a roll cage to mount them too in that there really isn't enought room above the window and I would not think it would be a strong enought anchot for the seat belt. my plan is to take some pics and ponder it some more. i find pondering the issue after an initial look through seems to be the best course of action :)

yep Dave it is. I used the tube style nilyon 1" strap you can get at EMS or REI. " tube" meaning while flat the webbing is hollow inside. sometimes you see people using this webbing with bungee cord feed inside. anyway the reason I prefer it is that its like double thickness and lets the outside layer give alittle bit and provides a nice pad and a very nice grip. well according to me anyway:)

I got my H4 housing and bulbs last night. and my hella horns yeah!!! its coming together. i would love to get the front bib back together and ready to go.

fogblanket, can you give us a little narrative as to the process of installing the floor you got from treeroot? such as when you cut the pan out, did it come out in one piece? did you cut or drill the spots? did the new one go in from the bottom, i assume? did you reinforce the cab before cutting and removing the floor? how difficult was it? how long did it take, blow by blow. Thanks, Mark

merbes check out page 12 of my thread I think I run through everything there. the metal of the floors is very nice stuff and welds super !!!
I would rcommend installing them fromt he bottom with the body off the chasis.I cover and photography the removal pretty good there as well. after you look at my page 12 let me know if i didn't cover something
Jason in Hawaii and loving it. too bad i have to work every day :(

Jason, thanks for pointing out page 12, not sure how I missed that? I saw one pic with a come along, was the needed to pull the body back tight, make up for difference in the floor? Was the new floor very close to the old? These trucks being hand made so long ago, you have to wonder how close they all are? Did all the seats bolt up ok? Mark

PS, I would rather be working in HI than off where I am :)

well I am back from Hawai'i from a 2 week work trip. did not have much free time but I did rent a heep so it was nice to get alittle sun that way.
anyway before I left I got the Bib put together and put on one of the rear door panels. I am very close to getting the right window channel from JCWhithney. I will post up the part # when i do get it right.

today I started to dry fit the heeter I got from vintage air in. does anyone know where i can get heating hose adapters? not he ones the coolant runs through but the ones going from the unit to the vents that the hot air actually travels through?
anyway here are some pics

yep they are hte SOR door panels and they are a pain to put toegher . not rocket scince but still a pain.the instructions say to just use the adhexive on the pieces that wra around. be aware as well that I do not have all the fasteners poped in so it is bowled a bit when it is flat it does not look that baggy

you really need a better camera man :) are you sure you dont have some setting wrong on it? I really want to see how that paint looks in real life...

build looks great... wish I was progressing as fast as you!!
