Well this Bluetooth device drain the battery too much. I would rather not take it out every time I get out of the truck unless of course there is a danger of draining the battery.

IF you have your 12v outlet wired to always on, then I would remove it in the winter, but in the summer I would not worry about it for the night or while at work, but over a weekend or while parked at the dock for a cruise I would unplug it.

Yea ok. For some reason only the aux plug is constantly on if something is plugged in it. Doesn’t go off when truck is off.

In the FAQ's section there is a way to wire the aux plugs to be always on, you could reverse that if you read the "how to"
None of my 12v plugs are live with the ignition off.

Very easy to do on the earlier 100 with easy access to the acc relay. The acc relay is on the back of the kick panel relays on the newer 100 making much more difficult

those KM18's only draw ~0.05A @ 5VDC when operating (a little less in standby)... assuming your battery is adequately charged you should have a 25A reserve capacity of at least 60-min, which would yield several thousand hours of operation. I wouldn't think it would be a problem to leave it in unless your battery is tired

^^^^Great info...little Greek to me but understood enough. Thanks

Also going to look up how to reverse the connection that has apparently been done. Thanks Spike.

I see now the PO used a jumper to create constant 12 volt power. I figure since I do not have an ACC relay and do have what I think is a good Optima Red battery, I’ll just leave it alone for now. Maybe it will not go dead overnight.

For reference, many cars draw around 50mA while off. If the figures in the above post are correct, then you'd have around 20mA (assuming my math is right) drawn by that bluetooth adapter. That's probably within the typical variance added by aftermarket alarms, stereo equipment and misc other stuff.

If you drive it daily or every other day I wouldn't worry. If you drive it once a week or less it might pull down voltage enough to be a problem.

Thanks. I drive it every single day. Usually 50+ miles per day

Oh Sweet. I just unplugged mine about 5 minutes ago. Ill hold button down next time. Thanks

I have the same transmitter on my pickup. If I am not going to be driving it for a few days I just hold the center button down for 5 seconds and it goes into sleep mode with all the lights off.

I did not know this. Mine shuts off with the key, but this is still good info.

^^^ Your ACC relay is not jumped like mine is in the pic above.

Mine does not seem to do the same. I hold the button down and it just stares at me like.....and you really believed that guy?

Show yours my photo. I have the KM19. Maybe you have the KM19? :)
It is right there in the directions. Hold for 5 seconds
