I think that video outlines the east (especially SE) wheeling that Tired and the like run into often. That hill doesn't look too bad on video. In reality it would make you poop.

The slick clay and granite rocks when wet are insanely tricky. I suspect similar elements led to the flop I saw earlier in the 80 forum.
