I see a lot of guys talking trash but not posting up anything except insults towards either the 100, or shotts. I've seen the 100 do some pretty incredible wheeling for the size of vehicle it is. In my opinion, taking a 100 or even an 80 on Rubicon is not the best idea. The Rubi is more or less for short wheelbase vehicles, not wagons. Some do it, but they don't do it in their daily.

Is Alvaro still daily-driving his since he bought the Taco? And I think Doug drives the Escort most of the time (but I could be wrong). :p However, Dan's right, up until recently, both used their trucks as DDs at least some if not most of the time, and both had lots and lots of Rubicon trips on them. I think Alvaro even took his on long business trips to the Bay Area, dents and all...

Yeah, taking everything into consideration, I think I actually prefer long to short wheelbase overall, even for some tighter trails like Rubicon. More stable and super climbing ability. I'll just use armor to compensate for the exposed undercarriage. BTW, I'll admit that the 80 I used to do Rubicon was NOT my DD...

As to that super flexy Oz truck, that looks like a 105 to me (solid front axle). Just like the 80 or most other trucks with two live axles, it's always going to outflex the 100, all things being equal. Don't believe Shotts if he tries to tell you otherwise... ;)
