Some have had or know of problems with their tires. Were they the "P" rated tires or "LT" rated? The RVT tire line came in "P" and "LT" rated tires. The "P" were very cheap and many would run them (including me) on a truck that SHOULD OF had "LT" rated tires.

I have run them for 20 years now and had only good luck with them unless I get lazy and don't rotate them.

I know of one person that had a belt go bad. He used his truck to haul concrete forms (very heavy). I didn't check to see if they were "P" rated tires or "LT" rated.
If they were "LT" they might of not been rated for the weight he was hauling.

I always ran P235/75/15 on my HiLux X-cab 4x4. I ran them in CO. I would haul more than they were rated for hauling fire would out of the mountians. I got 60+k mi out of them.

Unless someone can tell my why I shouldn't run them I will buy another set this fall for the 80.

I have once got a set of All-seasons and got stuck in deep snow. I would be hard pressed to get another set of non-lug (mud) tires.

I had great luck with a set of these that I bought at Les Schwab. Smooth, loud, wore very well. No issues and decent price. Running MT/r's now which are more expensive and a bit quieter.

WHAT DID YOU SAY???

I like the loud tires. I can hear the wife comming a block away.

i might add that now that i can afford them i will be going with bfgs once i do my lift! :D

I've been a fan of Michelin for 20 years. During that time I've bought nothing else. My last 3 were 2 sets of BFG AT's and a set of BFG MT's. (BFG is made by Michelin). With all the hoopla about MT/R's I bought a set of those. I have yet to see the benefits of them over the MT's...

i know the michelin will be quieter and probably provide a smoother ride, but my fj is not a DD and after a lift, probably won't have the smoothest ride, anyway. i like the look of the bfg vs the michelin ltx. did not know the bfg was made by michelin, thx for the info!

It was actually a merger between BF Goodrich and Michelin, Since then Michelin is the Importer and Distributor of BF Goodrich Tyres in Australia. - Also have a Michelin Price. :-\

The Wild Country Radial RVT is made by Cooper Avon in South Korea. - Were on my BJ40 when I bought it, Immediatly changed over to the Silverstone AT 117 as the Multi Miles were bald.

Uh, well excuse me but I think we have different definitions of the "big dogs". The guys who run Paris to Dakar run BFG's. :D

I figured I'd give Goodyear a try after quite a few sets of MIchelin/BFG's. So far they're okay, except an obstacle on a run last month where the only vehicle that could make it was running AT's...

I'm waiting for a good rock test. Actually I'd have bought Krawlers if they were reasonably priced, except I'm not sure they make them in 33" yet...
