I rented a Heep one time... Every other vehicle on the road started waving at me as I passed. I didn’t realize at first ‘It’s a Heep thing’. I felt like a fraud waving back, plus my arm got tired...
Damn! Sounds like a lot of trip to Starbucks.

I can build a model to do thatI love data-viz and nerding out, so I appreciate this
If one you could come up with a function that takes into account mileage, year, and condition, and spit out a narrow range LOL
A valuation tool! Not just for sellers and buyers, but folks who're insuring their rigs for declared value.I can build a model to do that![]()
.. I mean it is a pretty decent car, there should be more people own it...
Decent? They're awesome, like any Cruiser. Over kill for most people though, and not many sold in U.S. They are quite rare around here too. Car of choice is the practical 4WD Subaru.
Go to the Middle East to see an abundance. Those oil wealthy Arabs love them.
It took me a while to talk the wife and daughter out of a Jeep Wrangler and into a FJ...they claimed they didn't see them on the road as much as the Jeeps. I wanted reliability and Toyota proves that in spades. I suggested they were not looking as @Manhattan has just pointed out...as @JunkCrzr89 said - there just aren't many 100s in the U.S. Period. Sales data is clear. Now, the fact that most are still on the road throws it off a bit, but still... there are very few 100s on the road compared to other cars/trucks.
What we are experiencing is sort of like the "Cocktail Party Effect" - picking out your name or something of interest from the noise. If I'm at a party and hear "Steelers" or "Branding" it's the same as hearing my name. I swear there are more Steelers fans in Atlanta than any other NFL team other than the Falcons - because I see them. The reality is, I'm not "seeing" the Packers, Patriots, Panthers gear. My brain is conditioned to see black and yellow.
Same for cars and trucks. We're now conditioned to subconsciously notice Land Cruisers.
Too many Highlanders out there as decoys
Edit: and Sequoias
I believe that. I saw more 100s in CO than I’ve seen in all other states combined that I’ve been to.Ditto. I wanted to somehow do a study, because I'm pretty sure the most 100's per capita, are here in CO.

Based on the poll in the FB group, Texas has more 100s than any other state: Land Cruiser/LX470 100 series USAI believe that. I saw more 100s in CO than I’ve seen in all other states combined that I’ve been to.

It is... Too bad there's not a "Noise" or "static" forum on MUD...edit: this feels like chit chat
Sounds about right, but I still think per capita would likely be CO.Based on the poll in the FB group, Texas has more 100s than any other state: Land Cruiser/LX470 100 series USA

I know. Need “Noise” or “Static” forum tho: lacking in movement, action, or change. Which apparently I have become a primary contributor to![]()
